Large bunkering is an element that makes Willowbrook GC more difficult than most layouts. Here is a greenside trap at hole one (par-5, 501 yards). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The tee shot at the fifth, a fine par-3 of 124 yards, must carry a water hazard and a pair of bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The seventh green, like many holes at Willowbrook, sits upon a mound and is guarded by a single, large bunker. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

Golfer Reviews
Decent course but poorly managed
We enjoy this course but what seems to be a trend this winter on the central Florida courses we are playing are these groups of five players slowing play down. That was the case Willowbrooke yesterday and it’s the second time this week we played a course and were following five somes. You would think the course wouldn’t allow it and the men would know better. Also they were not that good which added to the wait times. Also the clubhouse closes at 5 so if you get in after 5 forget using the bathrooms etc. There is a nice bathroom out on the course but it is “unisex” which is not something my wife will use. The course itself does have nice greens and wide fairways. There are no golfball-washers on the course which we also found odd. It’s a decent course and a good price but poorly managed and marshalled.
Great course for the price
Taking into consideration the many frosts the course was as good as expected. Nice long course with a variety of holes to keep it interesting. Greens were hard and fairways brown but that’s winter golf in Florida.
It’s time in a while
Last played here 4 yrs ago… much improvrd, new greens are great, good carts, and the fairways pretty dry
Great value.
This course does not have all the bells and whistles of other courses but offers a challenging round for intermediate golfers. The greens are in great condition. It is the best value for the price. Feels great not to be gouged for a nice round of golf.
Great value
Second time playing this course. It’s doing well condition wise for the winter time. Greens are in very good shape with no bare spots. It’s seemed to play a little long so we played the yellow tees. Sand traps are in great shape. Fairways are a little tight but do have pretty consistent grass. Rough is not very long which makes it a pretty wide course. All in all a good course seems well maintained.
Great deal
The course was amazing for the price. Every staff member was extremely helpful and friendly. The lady working at the check in desk was very friendly and accommodating.
Don't take a tee time later than noon because with the slow pace of play the whole clubhouse will be closed if you finish later than 5:00 PM. Also, the irrigation sprinklers turn on sporadically on the back nine as your trying to finish your round.
Lovely course
For the money, this was excellent, we really enjoyed playing this course, little challenging in places. But it was well maintained and we loved the wildlife on the course too.
Course toilets were exceptionally clean.
Worth the drive
Played Willobrook for the first time on a Hot Deal promo.
30 mile drive but worth it; challenging course made even harder by the soft fairways - with no roll.
Rough was thick and penal.
Greens were ok but slow compared to other (more expensive) tracks.
My wife and I played 18 holes in under 3 hours even playing behind a twosome of young men who took videos of every shot they hit.
Must be “influencers” or “content creators”. We just thought they were slow.
Beautiful setting
Nice course, can be very challenging. There is a lot of work going on, around the on and around the greens. Overall, a very nice play to play a round of golf. Very friendly people around the course and in the clubhouse.
Lost Balls
The rough is so thick and long (I know I shouldn’t be in the rough) that even when you see where the ball went you hardly can find it! The course is very nice and greens are very good ! The course is worth playing but be prepared for some searching ⛳️🏌️♂️
Better than Ever!
I've played Willowbrook occasionally since the early 90's and for all the talk of investment and improvements over the years I never actually saw many things improve. That has changed! The course has been cleaned up considerably and the tees and greens are better than I have ever seen them!
working on it
Since I'd seen a few "O K " reviews, decided the Hot Deal was worth the chance. After the last time played, I was pretty sure the construction in the area would swallow up the golf course too, and it was just biding time...very , Very poor. Glad to see that was not the case and though there is still "much" room for improvement, they are moving forward. Hopefully that progress will continue. So, would recommend grabbing a "hot deal" in the afternoon, as it seems to be a lot less crowded and you can play a brisk pace, get 18 in and support the effort !
