Reading the reviews, hearing from people I know who golfed the course, I was expecting more after I experienced Hyde Mountain. I simply felt the layout was strange for me, some holes that were odd. Scenery was great on a few holes but overall, It was just a very average course which I wouldn't do again.

Really, I was disappointed.

II really enjoyed playing this course, it had a lot of great holes, especially along the lake. I would highly recommend playing this course.

My golf partner and I booked through Golfnow for this course. Just to let you know that my frustration is not with Golfnow , but with Hyde golf course policies. We arrived early to the course in case there was a chance we could get out a bit earlier. Our arrival time was approximately 40 minutes before our tee time. We were informed by the front desk that we were early and we couldn't tee off before our tee time. I informed the front desk that there was nobody on the course, it was empty. This didn't matter to the staff. They informed us that all the golf courses stuck to this policy. I informed her that all the local courses do not have that policy. We constantly tee off early if the courses are slow. It did not matter to them, they said it was a Golfnow policy. This is not correct. This type of customer service was extremely frustrating. It's bizarre and doesn't make sense. Buy the way, as we made our way to the tee box we saw 3 other golfers coming off the course. We were basically the only ones there, no one ahead of us, no one behind us. Common sense must prevail!!

This is the second problem I've had with this course. It's the fact that any moisture on the course causes the staff to implement cart path only rules. Our area where this course is located has basically been in a drought for a few months. We had some showers the other day prior to our arriving at the golf course. (In the meantime I had already booked a tee off time through Golfnow Hot Deals which is non refundable.) We got to the course for our tee time and were informed by staff that it was cart path only. It wasn't even raining, the showers had stopped a few hours earlier and the sky's were breaking. Staff said the course was wet and it would be slippery. Believe me there was no reason for cart path golf. There was no standing water to be found. If I had not booked through Golfnow and already paid, our foursome would have cancelled and gone to another course that lets you drive on the course when it's damp. We were stuck. If you plan on playing this course check the weather days before you book. If there is a chance of rain book another course or you may as well walk this course. There's nothing worse than packing your clubs across a fairway to play your ball and find out you brought the wrong club. Makes for a frustrating day of golf.

The course itself was very playable and well maintained. It is some of the policies at this course I feel need some adjusting and rethinking.

This is the second time I have played this course this year through Golfnow. The problems I encountered were not with Golfnow but with this course. I arrived early to the course with my playing partner and found there was no one on the course. We were told at the front counter that we were early for our tee time (by about 35 minutes) and were told we had to wait until our scheduled tee time. We explained there was no one else on the course and we should be able to tee off earlier. The person at the counter said "no you can't, you have to wait the 30 minutes." They also said all the courses are like that. I know all the course are not like that, so we let it go at that. I saw 3 other people on the course that day. This attitude at the course was frustrating and confusing.

The second game was just as frustrating. Our area has been in a drought for the last few months. Hyde is in this area. It showered a bit in the morning before our tee time. When we got to the course the sky's were clearing. The staff told us it was cart path golf only due to the course being wet. Cart path golf on this course is very difficult due to the large fairways and hills. It is a policy at this course that if is is damp it is cart path golf only. Check the weather before you go if there is a chance of rain go to another course where you can use a cart. In our case we were hooped because we had booked through Golfnow Hot Deals , and had already paid. If this wasn't the case we would have cancelled our tee time.

booked on golfnow.com, we came from Vancouver & was l hour early. We were not allowed to go on early, she said it's golfnow rules. there were ONLY 6 cars in the lot & no business and people around. I said, if we were 1 hour late, then she would cancelled our booking, yes or no because of glofnow's rule. She did not answer my question. When we were finished playing, there were ONLY 10 cars in the lot

The Hyde Mountain course has some of the best views I have seen on a golf course. However these views also make the course more difficult and deceiving (not a bad thing). The only real negative was the bunkers, they had what looked to be nice sand. However they were so crusted it would have been easier to play off the cart paths. This ruined my round as you could not play a true sand shot out of them. Overall it was an excellent course with spectacular views and would have received 5 stars if the bunkers were maintained properly.

An amazing day and the course was in great condition. We basically had the course to ourselves. Greens were fantastic and the rest of course very playable.

What a treat. First off the staff was incredible. This also filtered on to the members we met. You need your camera for this course as it is that beautiful with the lake sitting in the background. Stunning par threes to go with the amazing par four fourth! The challenge of the course is to hit the correct side of the fairway so your ball filters down to the middle of the fairway. The greens are extremely challenging with multiple breaks! I rarely three putt and I did it twice in my round. This has to be one of the most beautiful and picturesque courses I have ever played.

First time on course. Stunning views, great variety and requires every club in your bag. Elevation changes and undulating greens make this course a great test. Although challenging, you don't need to be long off the tee to do well. Second shots are most important on this course. Friendly staff. Can't wait to play it again, and again.....and again.

The course is in great shape.
The fairways had very little winter kill.
Greens are in amazing condition.
Sand bunkers need new sand
Carts in good condition.
A very scenic course.

We love this course, the views and elevated tee boxes are spectacular, We had a deer trot across our fairway, The club house views are to die for and the food and serve staff were wonderful. Highly recommend this course to tourists and locals alike!

Three of us played this course for the first time. What an experience. It was definitely challenging, but a ton of fun. You want to be pretty sure you can place your shots accurately on the fairways or you can lose your ball. There are some easier holes of course, but to a woman with about a 24 handicap, some of the par 4's seemed pretty long. I'd definitely play it again, as would my husband and our friend. The views are spectacular! Sitting on the huge sundeck on hole 19, sipping a refreshing beverage and enjoying excellent wings, while overlooking Marra Lake topped it off. A must for golfers with a little experience.

Very good shape overall, especially for this time of year.Greens were already punched, properly cut and rolled and, they were smooth and putted true. Fairways were soft and no roll as a result. The only areas needing more attention were the sand traps.

I forgot how hilly the course is. Make sure you are prepared for climbing up and down around the tees and greens fr sure.

Our pair were matched with another couple great pace and good time was had by all. Will play again soon

Great course to play. A few hole are designed for the tourist and not what I would call good golf holes. Great scenery and challenging greens. A definite mug if in the Sicamous area.

Amazing views but not easy. Very difficult if you don't know the course, it needs a booklet showing you where to go since there are a lot of hidden holes. But I like the course.

Course was in very good condition. Very hilly. View were awesome.

Hyde Mountain is one of my favourite courses. The views, the excellent condition, and the couse layout always leaves you wanting to come back. See you next year.
