About
MaraHills Golf Resort (formerly known as Hyde Mountain Golf Course) boasts a stunning setting thanks to its location within the hills above Mara Lake, with views that span the surrounding mountains and hardwood forests. Les Furber, a well known name in British Columbia golf, designed this challenging layout. You'll be using every club in your bag and you can't afford to take any of the tee shots lightly. The golf course is routed through dense groves of mature trees and across deep ravines that make for some intimidating tee shots. One hole that exemplifies the MaraHills Golf Resort experience is the par-4 fourth hole. At 483 yards, the yardage may seem strange but you'll understand why it has so much length once you're standing on the tee box, which is perched 200 feet above the fairway. The elevation offers an incredible view but be prepared for a difficult hole from tee to green.

Amazing Rocky Mountain "Hyde"
Very difficult and challenging course with exceptional scenery/views.
I recommend this as a must play course to all golfers of all levels of capability.
Spectacular course with some major challenges
Course was in good shape, well kept , but played slow from heavy rain previous evening . Every hole has its challenges for the beginner to the pro. It is a fun course to play but be gentle with yourself the first round . Choose your landing spots & try to strategize where to play your next shot . Overall a very enjoyable course to golf . BJL

Fun!
I've played Hyde for years and always enjoy the challenge and scenery. I'm proud to say it's in my backyard. The greens were recently punched and haven't recovered and the bunkers needed turning over.

A Gem
This course is very welcoming, from the pro shop staff to the on course staff.
The course layout provides a challenge from every tee box and the views are spectacular.
The round wouldn't be complete without a visit to the patio to add up your score and take in the view of Mara Lake!

Fabulous Vistas
Course was challenging, many hidden greens. Greens had serious breaks and elevation changes. Cart is essential and the ride was worth the price of admission. Views were fantastic. You need to play this course several times or have a guide to score well

Gem on the mountain
Nice hidden gem on the side of the mountain. Challenging holes but fun to play. Great views over looking the lake.

True mountain golf
This course turned out to be much more challenging that anticipated. There is no such thing as a flat lie and many of the holes play much longer due to the extreme elevations. The greens were difficult to read although not as fast as some other courses in the area. We were paired with a local twosome who managed to steer us away from trouble more than once. It was a lot of fun. This is a course you have to see once and then give a serious go another time!

Nice Course
The course is in good condition and has some great views of the lake. The pace of play in our foursome was very slow which detracted from the overall experience.

Putter
The scenery on this course is simply breathtaking. We golfed with a regular player, which helped as to where to hit the ball on each hole. Greens were quite slow. Would play the course again, but not at regular green fee.

Fascinating course.
Wide range of difficulty from hole to hole, from gentle to extremely challenging. Spectacular views from many of the tees, some of which provide a lofty view onto the fairway below. At times an elevated target is presented. Each hole presents something unique. The course was in excellent condition and a great deal of fun to play.

fun course
Wanted to go shoot balls at the range but they were out of balls???
No Range Balls
Got there 50 minutes early on a Holiday Weekend to hit some balls on the range to warmup. Were told there were no more balls. Go to bar and wait.
Went to bar and tried to order at bar and were told we would have to sit down and wait for our waitress.
Waitress didn't come by for 30 minutes so we left for our tee time.Golf course itself was great! Fantastic views. 5 hour round.
Will be back, but will bring my own drinks and food next time.
Great course I play it every time I am in the area!
Course is a great place with lots of really unique holes and some beautiful views. It's a must play with great value for the dollar!
