About
MaraHills Golf Resort (formerly known as Hyde Mountain Golf Course) boasts a stunning setting thanks to its location within the hills above Mara Lake, with views that span the surrounding mountains and hardwood forests. Les Furber, a well known name in British Columbia golf, designed this challenging layout. You'll be using every club in your bag and you can't afford to take any of the tee shots lightly. The golf course is routed through dense groves of mature trees and across deep ravines that make for some intimidating tee shots. One hole that exemplifies the MaraHills Golf Resort experience is the par-4 fourth hole. At 483 yards, the yardage may seem strange but you'll understand why it has so much length once you're standing on the tee box, which is perched 200 feet above the fairway. The elevation offers an incredible view but be prepared for a difficult hole from tee to green.

Beautiful course with some spectacular views. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Would definitely play it again.

A MUST play
Great and challenging layout with lots of elevation changes; perfect maintenance, perfect greens. Never mind the fabulous scenery, some of the holes are jaw-dropping stunning!! Greens are very large and terraced; you must approach to the right level. The par 4's are not overly long, but every approach has to be done carefully. The course supplies a great booklet with a full explanation of each hole for the first time player; VERY SMART !! When my golf cart ran out of fuel, the staff was ALL OVER IT...IMMEDIATELY!! I f I lived closer to this course, I would join as a member in a NEW YORK MINUTE !!

Decent early season conditions
Cart path only made for extra walking. Top tee on 4 was closed was disappointing. Hole 5 has a temp tee box for all tees at about 170 yards for a par 4. Snack shack not open yet. Lots of soft wet areas in the fairways, but course overall in better condition that expected for early season.

Best value in BC
Unbelievable views, great condition and super value for the price. The only thing better than the views was the service from Jana the hostess in the restaurant/lounge. Played several rounds at Hyde during our vacation and Jana made us feel welcomed each day. A great example of service making us want to keep coming back.......great job!
Best course yet
Played here for the first time the other day, had to book a tee time for the next day. Probably my favorite course to play. Great views. Fun elevated shots. Course was in awesome condition. Pace was perfect, never rushed. Some tricky shots but very fun to play. Challenging at times with a few elevated greens with dog legs. Got there by boat and they picked us up from the dock and gave us a tour. Ate at the restaurant after which was busy with people there just enjoying the view. Very recommended to play and every Wednesday is only $50 including cart. Use the GolfNow app every other day.

Nice course but too many blind shots. Very challenging.
Great Vistas
Enjoyed the course, I was charged tax and golf fees online and asked at the golf course as to why they did not know, this was the first time it happened. But good day, great weather and reasonable scores.
Fun course, good food, crap service
The course was very wet so, no driving on the fairway. The pace of play was slow at times and the Marshall did not step in. The servers were completely oblivious....everyone waited a long while to be seated even though there were plenty of free tables and, they did not know their menu at all. Did you know that Mahi-salmon is a type of fish or that there is a red Chardonnay? The food thankfully was good and prepared well but the service was abysmal.
Course needs rebuild
They did not have the room to build this course and it shows. Worst layout I have ever played. I will never play it again and I would not recommend this course. Hopefully it gets some investor's to re work the place and it may have a chance to survive. Its to bad because they have a great staff.
Amazing hidden gem. Must play
Just an amazing course, and excellent value, Les Furber will challenge your every shot on this well maintained, well layed out, mountain side gem. A must play for any golfer, and views of Mara Lake that will stick with you for eternity. Personally one of my favorite courses that I have played. Check Golfnow for cheap hot deals!
Beautiful views
The course was in great shape. The views were spectacular. The course layout is a bit hokey but fun. Well worth playing.
