About
MaraHills Golf Resort (formerly known as Hyde Mountain Golf Course) boasts a stunning setting thanks to its location within the hills above Mara Lake, with views that span the surrounding mountains and hardwood forests. Les Furber, a well known name in British Columbia golf, designed this challenging layout. You'll be using every club in your bag and you can't afford to take any of the tee shots lightly. The golf course is routed through dense groves of mature trees and across deep ravines that make for some intimidating tee shots. One hole that exemplifies the MaraHills Golf Resort experience is the par-4 fourth hole. At 483 yards, the yardage may seem strange but you'll understand why it has so much length once you're standing on the tee box, which is perched 200 feet above the fairway. The elevation offers an incredible view but be prepared for a difficult hole from tee to green.

Horribly slow.
Five and a half hours and we skipped the last 2 holes. Unacceptable.
The big issue is the course seem very wet and we have to play cart path only
Beautiful course
Course was in immaculate shape. The views are spectacular! The layout is sorta gimmicky, actually a lot of gimmicky shots. Make sure you grab a courses guide book from the pro shop

Excellent shape for the amount of rain this month.
Greens are still fast and in great shape
Rest of course is very soft and wet.

Such a hidden gem!
We drive out from Kamloops to play as we love it so much! ! Played it 5 times this summer! Its so peaceful, scenic, and challenging all in one. The greenskeepers do a fantastic job, sometimes a little naughty with the pin placement though ;)
Only one complaint that not sure if you get a lot of rain or if it gets overwatered. But its a lot of extra walking when you have to stay on the cart paths. Especially with some of those hills.
Overall all though, our favorite course to play!

The PERFECT day!!
A perfect day for the best round of the year for me. The greens were holding everything! Hardly anybody on the course and those that were there let me cruise on through. It's a 225 km roundtrip for me and I don't begrudge one mile of it!!

What a great course !!!
It’s not easy but the course and the views are incredible the staff was very friendly we would have loved to eat on the deck after our round but it was closed for a wedding no big deal we enjoyed it there very much and will be back again !

Nothing like the Shuswap
Not going to lie I used to hate this course, probably because I wasn't very good lol. But now that I've got better I've learned to love this course, from the beauty scenic views, to the abusrd elevation changes its truly unique to the Shuswap and one of the most beautiful, fun and challenging courses around.

Designed a bit over the top
I can’t complain about the price of the course, or the views for that matter - they were both fantastic.
I give 3 stars because I think whoever designed the course wasn’t trying a bit to hard to make something special. It was my first time playing the course so after a few rounds I might enjoy it better knowing where the multitude of blind shots go, but I think it was a bit over the top.
I’ve played many courses that have been much more simply designed, and yet much more enjoyable. Also as a result of the lengthy distances between holes, walking was not even an option. This is a shame since walking is the preferred way to golf for those who are able.
This course is more akin to an amusement park than a quality golf course. My advice for the designer is to go to Disneyland if you want that type of experience. There actually used to be a driving range at Disneyland, my grandfather was the head pro there in the 60s.
All in all a well maintained course with great views and a different golfing experience, but not what I think golf is supposed to be about.

Spectacular golf holed
First time playing this course. This is one awesome place to play golf. Holes are challenging but a pleasure to play. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Would definitely come back.
