About
Knollwood Golf Club is home to two 18-hole courses, the Old and the New. The golf courses were built nearly 20 years apart. Opened in 1970, the Old Course is spread across beautiful parkland that is covered in trees. The layout is more traditional and less challenging than the other course at Knollwood Golf Club, but it is still an entertaining round. The main priority in creating the golf course was to not only maintain the natural features of the terrain, but also enhance it. Thousands of trees were planted in addition to those already present throughout the golf course. The result is a unique course that players of all skill levels will enjoy.

Great Game!
Tee off was early...we were 2nd Team to tee off @ 7:10 am.
Speed was great! 18 Holes in 2:50 mins. Greens were in great shape! Fairways were a bit dry...but we haven't had the rain...so the fact they keep the tee blocks and greens in great shape is great! Really Enjoyed the round...
A fun honest golf course.
Today was the final game of the World Cup and forecast high was 35c which probably explained why we had most of the course to ourselves. I was surprised to find the grass nice and green and the greens in amazing condition considering we have had so much hot dry weather.
The course is easy and forgiving. Wide fairways and no bunkers makes for an enjoyable round. Holes 5, 7 and 14 are good scoring opportunities . The course is fairly short but interesting. No houses on the course and just the right number of water hazards.
I have always found the staff here friendly and helpful.
I drive an hour to get there but find it the best golf value in the Golden Horseshoe.
I love this old course.
You cannot help but appreciate all the mature trees and lush grass. Some interesting holes. There’s a few par 4’s that could be easy birdie holes and a par five that dog legs right. The tee shot is to a wide open fairway only to be presented with a narrowing dog leg all the way to green. Not the longest course but very enjoyable!
course & greens were in perfect shape found the course a little short for our liking pro shop & clubhouse staff were great I find the new Knollwood course a bit more challenging
Hard greens
Very hard greens u stick a nice hit and rolls right off the green like an ice rink hard hard greens is all everything else great other then beer girl stops serving beer at like 4pm on the course
Great course
This is one of my favourite courses. The layout is very good, no two holes are alike. It’s a “feel good “ course. Some water and some narrow fairways but overall a course you can score well on.
Staff are great, very accommodating.
I highly recommend it.

Great value
We enjoy both Knollwood courses. Good value for a quick round. My son and I played and had a great time! We played through two very friendly foursomes, who welcomed us to play through. We'll be back. Thanks Knollwood!
Knollwood Ancaster
Good course, reasonably priced and in good shape. Not overcrowded so no 5 hour rounds. An enjoyable day with great weather with friends.
Very Slow
Unfortunately the tee off time we booked, unknown to us, was directly behind a small tournament playing a scramble. So pace of play was extremely slow.
Atrocious pace.......lovely course
We gave up after 12 holes because the pace was so slow. There should have been a marshal available. After the first 3 or 4 holes.there was a back up of 4 groups at each hole. In addition the grass on the greens was being cut between players. Overall it was a rather unpleasant experience, which was a shame as it is a very nice course.
