Knollwood Golf Club - Old
About
Knollwood Golf Club is home to two 18-hole courses, the Old and the New. The golf courses were built nearly 20 years apart. Opened in 1970, the Old Course is spread across beautiful parkland that is covered in trees. The layout is more traditional and less challenging than the other course at Knollwood Golf Club, but it is still an entertaining round. The main priority in creating the golf course was to not only maintain the natural features of the terrain, but also enhance it. Thousands of trees were planted in addition to those already present throughout the golf course. The result is a unique course that players of all skill levels will enjoy.

Nice old course.
Staff was excellent from the time we dropped our clubs to time we left. Course nice old course with lots of trees. Enjoyable afternoon.
Great outing
Knollwood Old Course, a very pleasant course to play. Lots of interesting views and angles to make it challenging. Accuracy and smart club selection required, but may be too short at approx 5,800 for big dog hitters.
Good course
I find the course was to short, compaired to other courses. But it was clean, friendly staff, allot of people there at a time though and the course wasn't to tough, which is great for new players.
Value for the money I would say go somewhere else.
Excellent Round
I always enjoy Knollwood's Old/Original course. I've played it for years, literally. It has such mature tree's and landscaping. And our round went really quickly, for a 2-some we were done in just under 3 hrs.
it's a feel good course
Beware the price. Get a hot deal.
it is a short course, fairly easy, good for beginners.
Nothing spectacular.
Just a nice course, easy day of golf
Great course
The layout is great. Each hole is unique, never think you are playing the same hole again. Staff are pleasant and pace is great. Course is well treed and maintained.
loved it
knollwood old course is an excellent value for a moderately changeling course, good variety but not requiring a long driving player. we played in 3 hrs, it was a slow day because of the threat of rain.
Good course on a wet day
The course condition were questionable. There were a couple low lying holes that probably shouldn't have been open for play. But the layout was really good and the staff was excellent. I will be back.
Player Friendly
Good short course great medium skill level track staff is friendly and service is good Knollwood is always a good day out
Review
The people there were very nice, but the yardage was very off. Luckily we had our own range finder. The tees, fairways and greens were good quality. But the rough was very tall needed to be cut down if we landed in it. It took a lot longer to find our ball some were even lost because of it. The place card and signs at the tees did not depict any pictures of the holes. But someone drove by later saying to follow the cart path which is not that easy when they go past hills and trees. He was kind though and gave us a picture of the layout. Which is apparently supposed to be in the car all they're on the top of the windshield of the golf car. They didnt have any food because the kitchen was not open for some reason so for luch you could have snacks. We usually stop in after and grab something but decided to just leave. Overall it was an alright day but i dont think i would return.
Enjoyable Course
While early spring (somewhat wet) conditions existed, the course was is nice condition, with soft, beautiful greens. Staff is outstanding and course is a pleasure to play.
Short par 4s but challenging
Played on a cloudy and scattered rainshowers but lucky enough to avoid the heavy downpour. Not a bad course even when some par 4 were short and inviting for the driver. Play smart and use all your clubs. Some challenging holes in the back nine. Some greens had rough patches due to maybe the long summer spell. I will definitely play this course again. Staff were friendly.
Fast
I have to give credit to the other golfers who were ahead of us and were playing much slower. They had the courtesy to allow us to play through, which unfortunately you don't always see.
Great round
Greens were in very good condition. Fairways were a bit patchy and dried out in spots. Great staff and speedy round.
Great Day!
Weather was great, shot well, no one in front or behind us which is good.
