Knollwood Golf Club - Old
About
Knollwood Golf Club is home to two 18-hole courses, the Old and the New. The golf courses were built nearly 20 years apart. Opened in 1970, the Old Course is spread across beautiful parkland that is covered in trees. The layout is more traditional and less challenging than the other course at Knollwood Golf Club, but it is still an entertaining round. The main priority in creating the golf course was to not only maintain the natural features of the terrain, but also enhance it. Thousands of trees were planted in addition to those already present throughout the golf course. The result is a unique course that players of all skill levels will enjoy.

Very Short
Greens were good, fairways nice, most tee boxes need work.
A lot of branches and pieces of wood lying around that could be cleaned up. I paid $17 for 18 and a cart on a hot deal. I wouldn't pay more than that. It actually wouldn't be a bad place to take the kids. Other than the tee boxes and way too short for my liking, the rest was good.
Makes up for short length with tough pin positions
Many greens were almost unfair with pins on slopes.
Lots of spots on the greens that needed work.
Lots of spots in the rough that were extremely thick.
Nice little course
Quiet, fun course. Staff was great and course was in pretty good shape. Highly recommend.
Avoid playing this course
Booked for $52 per person but charged $68 @ course
It was a great day of golf!
The course was in very good shape! We had to work around some leaves, but that wasn't an issue at all. I lost a few balls, actually placed them for the next golfers to find. I found a few that other golfers had donated to the cause as well. I hope the season permits us to play again!
Worth the time.
The course was in great shape for the time of year. The old growth punished errant tee shots but the fairways were forgiving and not too undulated nor was the course very long or tiring for those who favor the walk even though a few tee boxes were set on top of hills. The course is well laid out offers a nice challenge while not taxing the brain too much nor requiring long drives... straight... but not long. I did feel as though they succeeded in their claim to find a balance with nature, wildlife and the golfer. A peaceful and satisfying round of golf and I will be back recommend it to others.
Decent course
I enjoyed playing this course but found it very confusing knowing where to get to certain holes since there isn't a course diagram on the score card. I was also surprised and disappointed to find there weren't many ballwashers.
The course was in good shape though - especially the greens, and the food in the club house was fantastic.
great course for the value
Have golfed there several time and would not hesitate to go back
Good rolling course
This course is a great starter course for someone just getting into the game. A little short for my liking.
Good value for the money! Will be back!
Nice mature woodlands course. Challenging, not too long of a course.
Very picturesque with lots of mature trees, and cart path thru the woods.
Mostly short yardage holes make it easy to shoot greens in regulation and lots of birdie opportunities. Every hole is different and almost all are interesting. This course does attract women and the elderly, so play can be a bit slow sometimes.
Above average course, got slow near the last 9...
Decent course, would play again... prices are good on golfnow...
Like the changes to the back 9 and the parking lot.
Good course for all levels. Play moved well on a Sunday morning.
old course - needs work
it needs work, fairways, greens, traps need an overhaul. the layout is good, with some updating it could be quite challenging.
