Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

Gleneagle
I usually play courses that over 6000 yards. So that meant playing Gleneagle was from the black tees. It had nearby houses, extremely narrow fairways and some long carries but otherwise a real test. There was a couple holes with minor maintenance, like standing water next to the green and some sprinkler repair. Otherwise this course is a bargain.
Poor communication
At tee off time, we are waiting for some young ladies to tee off. While waiting another group of young ladies showed up. And then another since they were having a Youth Tournament. The staff and the Pro Shop never mentioned a word about this. I believe they should have offered a rain check on the spot. We decided to do the back nine which was okay since the young ladies had finished. We got through the front four and caught up with a young ladies we are waiting with our number one at our original tee time. If we would have finished the round we would have had another two two and a half hours. Thus we left without finishing five through nine
Always a fun course to play.
Greens in great condition, always. Not long but a bit tight and can be tough to score well. Traps need improvement! Not a walking course!
Tight fairways, smaller greens, uneven lies, and water. Very beautiful golf course.
Interesting course
Interesting layout and holes. Fairly generous driving although there are trees and homes lining a lot of the fairways. Overall an enjoyable round and certainly a good value.
Fix the dead spots
Mostly good condition, there are too many dead spots on the greens. Just left dead and sandy. One spot had been filled in with plugs, but whoever did it had no concept of making it blend and left it like 3 inches higher than surrounding green area.
Needs work
Bunkers, tee boxes were loathsome.
Fairways were ok
Greens are in nice shape!
Greens were in great shape. Fairways were wet and muddy in places due to the recent rains. Most of the bunkers are unplayable (take free relief) if you land in one.
Used to be nicer
Fairways & greens were in pretty good shape. They completely gave up on 1/2 of the bunkers and the driving range is a wreck (they claimed it was closed last time I was there because someone stole the range balls). Almost no staff. It used to be a very nice facility at a reasonable price. The hot deal on GN was good if you can play midweek.
Back to the COURSE it was meant to be
So excited to see that the new ownership has spent and worked so hard to resuscitate a great golf course. I played it a few years ago and was sad to see it had gone so far the wrong way. The new owners have removed trees, recommitted to the best public green conditions in Snohomish County, have a great Bar/Food and the general vibe is just outstanding. New fleet of carts are awesome and The course is still great - tough off the tee, Tough Par 3s on the front. ONly 2 Par fives, both reachable but also tight. The short par fours have plenty to keep a single digit handicap engaged. I hit every club in the bag, The WILD areas that were once overgrown Black berry patches, are now clearly seen as HAZARDS and if you hit it in them, that's on you. They are doing some work on the bunker front of 9 (Railroad ties) that will be really cool. I used to love coming up here to play in the 2010s and am so happy to know it is back. GLENEAGLE is a must for the price and location- the best thing in the area has returned.
Nice
Course was in great condition. I guy was a NO show, we couldn't even get a rain check for the 1 guy! Disappointing!
