Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

Weird track with nice greens
Some of the wildest fairways I have ever played. Hard to find a level lie on many holes. The course was too wet in many places where the ground hit low points. The general layout hole to hole was okay and some holes were almost normal in pitch and slope. A few tricked up holes and a few that were very very tight. One hole was just downright DA for the Ladies due to a forced carry on a par 5 on the back side (I think it was number 11) that most Ladies would have to hit driver and then a short iron to the edge of a wetlands area and from there play on. Par was not possible if I were a female or short hitter.
Greens were very nice and had a lot of interesting movement. On the other hand most of the sand bunkers were hard and wet sand. The last par 3 had to abandoned bunkers, one in back of and the other right of the green. Weed filled with the racks just sitting in these waste areas. WEIRD.
Last item. The 18th hole flag pole was splintered at the base and caused me to inject a piece of fiberglass into the fleshey part of my palm. The good news, I did make par to finish my round. I did like all the shade the tall firs and cedar trees provided.
Fun course for all levels
Nice course, challenging yet fun. Very nice and efficient staff. Just enough challenge to keep you on your toes. Relaxed enough that you still have a great time. Great members as well.

Best course for the money
Friendly staff, nice pace of play with a huge layout that travels throughout a neighborhood. One thing that could
Improve its the course conditions, keep that mower revved up boys! Overall a great place to catch some greens during the week.
I always enjoy Gleneagle
Not long but not easy. For whatever reasons it's tough to score low here for me and everyone I've played with here. Challenging in an unexplainable kind of way. We keep coming back trying to better our scores.
Wet & muddy
Greens were fabulous. Unfortunately, the fairways were were so wet, muddy and difficult to play. Lots of great features and interesting moguls, hazards, and staircases. Once the course dries out, conditions should improve. Awesome clubhouse with wonderful service..

Great value
Glen Eagle is a lot of course for the money. For winter, greens rolled nicely. Tight course- main downside is that G.E. is not a slicers friend. I was paired with a couple guys who were fun to golf with, but one them hit no less than three homes (sounded like the balls hit a roof) and even went over a house into the street off one of the tee boxes! No fault of the course, but if you tend to have a banana slice, you may tag a roof once or twice. Personally, I like this course and the folks that run it.
