Gleneagle Golf Course
About
Gleneagle Golf Course in Arlington is just an hour north of Seattle. The 5,949-yard, par-70 layout may seem relatively short, but it's a course that will test your shot making skills and accuracy with strategically placed bunkers and undulating greens. The layout makes up for any lack of length in many other ways, including the treacherous rough that lines the rolling fairways. Water hazards come into play as well, but there are more on the front nine than the back. There are some challenging holes but overall, players of all skill levels will enjoy the golf course, especially with its backdrop of cedar and fir trees spread across rolling hills. With a driving range also available, Gleneagle offers one of the area's best values for the money.

Great valie
Nestled inside a housing development, with some distance between holes. Wouldn't try to walk it. Nice variety of holes and hazards on each hole. Not very long, the challenge comes from uneven lies and avoiding trouble around and approaching the greens. Greens and fairways are in good shape. Some of the tees, and areas just off the fairway, not so much. For $25-30 its a great deal. Have played three or four times this year and will play again.
First time at Gleneagle - SUPERB GREENS!!!
At first I was thinking, as I was on the back 9, that I didn't know if I'd play here again or not. But given where I'm at in my life (60 yrs old with RA), it's a course that I no doubt will play probably numerous times ahead. It's a bit on the short side in terms of distance, but there are numerous holes where trouble is pretty easy to find. If you're a young, long ball hitter, this course can 'be had'. But for me now, at this stage in my life, it works pretty well. And as my title indicates, the nicest thing about this course is the greens. They were in EXCELLENT shape. Granted I played it in the middle of August, obviously prime time for weather. But still, I've read other reviews saying wonderful things about the greens as well.
Greens
The greens were a 10+. First time in 45yrs of playing have I seen greens this lush, puttable and all in the same condition.
Great 4th of July
What a great way to celebrate July 4th! Loved the course, the weather, the staff. Course was quiet so play was very fast, and lots of fun. My only worry was hitting one of the many houses on the course :-/
Learn how to mow!!!!!!!!!!
Apparently they do not know how to bag the clippings when they mow. The grass clippings are so thick people were losing balls in the fairways. I was covered to my knees with grass. I had to clean the cart from all of the grass at the turn because it looked more like a hay ride than a golf cart.
Great course out of the way
My wife and i played this course during the week. Easy booking and got on course early even. Had a taco special in the bar that was a great deal. Beers were a little overpriced but they did ice them down for free. The course was very nicely laid out and got increasingly difficult on the back nine. If your looking for a great value at a great course this is it!!
GREAT IMPROVEMENTS
THIS COURSE HAS MADE GREAT IMPROVEMENTS. GREENS ARE AS GOOD AS ANY COURSE AROUND. COURSE IS REALLY IN GREAT SHAPE, BUNKERS ARE GREAT, AND WHERE CAN YOU PLAY FOR $35 WITH CART ON A SATURDAY. PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD FOR A WEEKEND. CLUBHOUSE IN NICE WITH GOOD FOOD. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF. REALLY LIKE THIS COURSE. NOT LONG BUT CHALLENGING. . BEAUTIFUL COURSE.
Gleneagle
Excellent greens
Bunkers need more raking Not enough loose sand for proper bunker shots
Shot makers course. Not long but challenging
GlenEagle
Too many houses too close to the course. People do no have any awareness of golfers with loud TV's, Music, Kids playing and adults loud conversations. Dogs barking. Home owners are Not Pleasant to talk to and have attitudes towards golfers. The negatives out weigh the positives and it's too bad because the greens were great and challenging.
Fareways
The greens are great and fast but the fareways need cut better and the dead cut grass is bad. Lost a few balls because of the dead grass. All in all great course.
Don't stray off of the tee
This is not the course for you unless you hit the ball ABSOLUTELY straight off the tee!!!!! Short length from the Blue Tees might mislead a lot of people. Have your game in good shape before you play here!! Other side of the coin. The greens here are country club pure!!! The tees and fairways need some work, but so do all the courses in the NW due to constant rain! Again, if you are not deadly accurate off the tee, this course WILL humble you,Big Time!!!!
Hidden Gem
I'm glad more golfers don't know about this course. The greens were great, it's in a beautiful setting, and my round including cart was $20.
And at 3:30Pm on A Sunday, practically no one on the course and a very leisurely round.
I'll be back!
Best shape it's been in
This course is in the best shape I've ever seen.
Greens were perfect
Thanks for a great enjoyable round
Hats off the the crew
Greens very fast for all the rain we've had. Fairways pretty good also
Good
The greens were in fantastic shape! Best out of all the tracks I've played this season. The only issue I have with this course in general is you need too much local knowledge on some holes. For example hole 11 is a par 5 with water across the fairway. Most courses would have a sign saying distance to water is blank. So without having a range finder or having played 10 plus times you wouldn't know what the carry is. Also the sight lines are a little out of whack. I've played here once or twice a season for 5 years now and you can tell a lot of vegetation has not been touched since. You have to hit around trees or over trees off the tee on 4 and 12. A little attention to detail and this course could become a real gem!
