About
The Valley Course is a heavily forested golf course is the original layout at the club. The course is unique in that it has relatively short yardages rated with such high slopes mainly due to the tight fairways and numerous elevation changes. The driver will most likely stay in your bag while the long irons will be used often. The golf course is very tight, offering an ideal place to get some practice with irons. It is also provides an ideal warm-up round for the more difficult course at the Horseshoe Resort, the Highlands Course.

Only 12 holes?
Has tons of Potential to be a nice course as it once was. Horseshoe resort needs to get off their wallet and spend some money on their course. And for gods sake make it a full 18, the 12 holes is an embarrassment to golf. Also 1 beer and and two small Halloween size Pringle cans were 22 dollars that was definitely a ripoff

Skunks
Skunks had a party the night before and ripped up a few fairways. For 12 holes this is a great course to pay .

Scenic and great weather
The course was of moderate dificulty, but the layout was poor. We signed up to play 12 holes, but we could not find the 1st hole, partly because the staff told us to start at the back 9. Now if you played here before you'd know where that back 9 was, but the back 9 was re-numbered from 1st hole to 9th hole. Since it was our first time, there was no need to mention "start at the back 9". When we did play, a couple of holes were difficult to find and we did not understand why our game included only 12 holes. The greens were not manicured that well and neither were the fairways. But that may be because of the dry weather. It was scenic. Walking would be difficult with the steep hills. We did have fun and the weather was great.
