Horseshoe Resort - Valley

Course was ok but compared to other courses in the area it's below average. Not a bad course but would prefer to golf elsewhere

Course signs much improved. Much easier to find next hole.

Cart paths have been fixed and improved.

Course conditions were very good.

Tight fairways , very challenging.

Very steep in places. Very much for a fit golfer.

Good value for money.

This course is not worth the money. Says newly renovated but all they did was open more holes. Literally got rushed by the Marshall 3 holes in and ruined my hole day of golf. Took 4 of us 3 hours and 45 mins for 18 holes and was still getting rushed. Golf is suppose to be relaxing and this place was anything but that

Lots of weeds and dirt in the fairways. Greens were in poor shape. Some bunkers were hard packed. No GPS in carts & course didn't match Garmin options.

The course was decent however a bit pricey for what it is. I understand that it was late in the season but better ground keep keeping would be nice.

We were intrigued by the mention of Muskoka Bay Freed developer which we played in August and was excellent. However, a tale of two cities - their Valley course is simply in awful condition. It is a nice layout through the woods BUT - has been neglected. The sand traps have not been raked even after a rain wash out days ago. And the fairways - well hold on. This course is in worse condition than muni courses we have played. Being respectful will simply advise you consider any other course.

The front nine was ok but fairways are dry. The greens were good. A couple of the tee decks had no grass. The back nine was beat up pretty bad lots of dead grass. Sand traps not playable on back nine. Good thing the scenery compensates and we got a god deal on golf now. Not worth 90 bucks to play

I have had a horrible experience on this course. I fell into an unmarked pothole on the 2nd hole. I notified the Proshop to let them know that I had fallen and that I would have to go and have my foot looked at. I had an X-Ray done and have a sprained ankle and now wearing an Air-cast boot. Twice I emailed Horseshoe Valley to notify the outcome of my fall and no one has ever responded to me. On other areas of the course, there were many marked spots spray painted in red. This hole was unmarked. I didn't even see the hole as it was all covered in grass. I was walking towards the green to chip my ball onto the green when I fell in. This is negligence and unacceptable.

Fun track with the addition of 6 holes in July. Fairways and most of the greens are in good shape. Tee times were 10 minutes apart but pace of play was slow and backed up the whole 18 holes.

Golf doesnt seem to be a priority at horseshoe. It's short (par 69) and in really rough shape. Greens and fairways have a lot of dead spots. Food and staff are great, but with so many great courses in the Barrie area this isnt one I would choose to return to.

Overall condition of the course very poor. Greens a bit to slow. Tee Blocks not well maintained. With a upgrade of the maintenance course would be great. For the rate I paid (GN hot deal) it was okay. Pace of play very slow (resort course)&long weekend. I liked the layout, lots of elevation changes and views.
