Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Overall a nice place to play
Lots of elevation and found the course to be shorter. I would recommend playing the Gold (Tips)
This layout forces you to play the correct club and keep your shots straight otherwise you will find yourself playing a different fairway.
Otherwise it’s a great place to play!
A favorite course to play
We always enjoy this course, and today was no different. The course was in great shape, and the greens were quick for this time of year. Overall, it was a fantastic day, and we will be back again soon.
If you haven't had a chance to play Settlers Ghost, make sure you make the trip as it is worth it.
Beautiful views but too many blind shots
Beautiful scenery but one too many blind shots. Course was in good shape greens were nice but the clubhouse was seriously lacking. One would think that when you spend millions building a golf course you might have some kind of clubhouse other than an old home convert. Staff was very friendly and service excellent. All and all we had a very nice day golfing.
Cold and blustery
It was a cold and windy day, but the golf was great!
First time playing Settlers Ghost and unfortunately a very cold day. Look forward to trying again in the Spring 2021'

Final round
Probably last round of the year, course was in great shape, staff were as friendly as ever, look forward to seeing everyone next year ( Covid free I hope)!
Immaculate condition
We had to leave after 6 holes due to a tornado warning.
Gotten worse
Course conditions were good as always but very disappointed in the fescue being cut down everywhere. It is just rough now between fairways and makes this course play very easy. Many driveable par 4s and easily reachable par 5s without the danger of missing fairways. Many blind tee shots combined with now wide open layout also makes it a dangerous place as it is very easy to hit into groups in front of you. Likely won't be back.
