About
Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Best round in 15 yrs. No Mulligans, no lost balls and shot a 90
Brutal pace
Hi, this is my go to course when my home course is busy. Absolutely flawless conditions . Greens were rolling so fast, it almost want fair , but great for early May . Fairways full and bright green. Usually great pace course. They had the pro out there basically teaching 7 people . The group in front would be on the tee block talking to the group behind :(. It took 3 people almost 5hrs to complete 18 . Otherwise totally amazing track :)
Bad timing
Unfortunately on the day we played the road was closed for a major accident so no one could play for a couple of hours. This meant major back ups and at one point there were 4 groups on one tee. We did get round in about 4.5 hours but waited on every tee.
The course itself was in really nice shape - true fast greens . It was enjoyable
However too many golfers playing of golf and blue tees when they should be off white.
This course cant be beat. Challenging and great conditions.

Absolutely super course condition.
Played here before - but this yr it is in great shape.
Overall a nice place to play
Lots of elevation and found the course to be shorter. I would recommend playing the Gold (Tips)
This layout forces you to play the correct club and keep your shots straight otherwise you will find yourself playing a different fairway.
Otherwise it’s a great place to play!
