Course review
Course was wet in some spots due to recent rain but overall not a bad track. Excellent deal was obtained through Golf Now.
Squish, squish, squish
Lots of standing water on the course 8 hours after a heavy overnight rain. Greens were fine but everything else about the course and facilities had a run down feeling.
Great day for golf
Overall it was a good experience. Some low laying areas what were very wet but course seemed to be built around a swamp. Greens were nice. Very fast though. Staff was friendly. I'd go back.
Excellent experience
This little gem forces you to play target golf on most holes, however, there are several holes that you can grip n rip it, I will most definitely be back :-)
Incredible Value
I first played this course about 3 years ago, and now I play it a couple (or 3 ) times per year now. I always play early in the morning, and the pace is excellent. Most holes are quite forgiving, although the back nine is much more tree-lined where accuracy is important The greens were in particularly good condition this time. Simoro is a hidden gem, that for the money, is one of the best values you'll find.
Staff is always friendly and accommodating
Swampy
This course is surrounded by swamps. Very wet, fairways in poor condition. Too many hoarseflys and mosquitoes got bitten like crazy. Lost a lot of balls
Good Times
Course was in good shape, fair course, greens a little slow but overall a good value course
Too many blind shots
Overall the course was in very good shape, and the greens were quite challenging.
However we found this course has far too many " blind shots " from most tee boxes you can only see about 200yds before you have a hill which you don't know what is on the other side or a dog leg which is far more extreme than the scorecard shows.
As a first time at this course it wasn't all that enjoyable because of the sheer guessing where to place a tee shot, to then walk over a hill and the ball has disappeared.
They also overbooked and paired us with another twosome which I've never liked, luckily they were a decent pair.
Course fun to play
Nice course has all different types of holes which is great for both a beginner or a good golfer. Staff is quite friendly and helpful. Have had a good time playing this course over the past number of years
great value for your dollar
I have heard of cheap golf but the deal we got at simoro was awesome. 18 holes of golf with cart and a basket of range balls for 20$, insane value. Course was is fair shape, greens were a little long but overall a great day.
great day 4 golf
Great service and reception upon arriving. We tee ed off within 10 mins of arriving and followed another twosome at a very reasonable pace. Some courses would have made us join the others but not here. We really appreciate this when possible and we will definitely be back soon!
Great course
Great course to play. Lots of trees and nice fairways and greens
A Great Deal
course in good shape, could use a mow in a few places. a few blackflies, and mosquitos, stay in the sun and they go away. late booking day of play = great value!
Friendly family track
This is a fun place to relax and enjoy a game of golf. The front nine Is relatively open and easy to play and find any wayward tee shot. By comparison the back nine is tight. Keep the driver in the bag. The course places short - only 6400 yards from the back tees. Greens are small but fast. Trouble is all at the back of the greens. There is some sand it nothing to protect the front of the green so run up shots are available on virtually every hole. There is lots of elevation changes resulting in some nice views. Normally play one less club than you think you need. Staff very very friendly and helpful. Even though we played on a Sunday morning we were a till able to complete the round in just over 4 hours. This is a nice track for a y type of golfer.
I would recommend for a relaxing fun game.
Great Value
Greens were in nice condition, front greens were a little hard but did notice they were just starting up the irrigation system, back greens held much better. Fairways were good, but the key was the smoothness of the greens, makes or breaks the entire golf experience. If you want to play a decent course and not pay the big course rates, you will be presently surprised with Simoro.
Good value
Fr the average golfer this is a fun place to play. The pace of play was done for a Sunday game - 4.5 hours - with relatively few delays on the holes. The course was in relatively good shape as it recovers from a difficult winter. The front nine is reasonably wide open but the back nine is tight. You need to keep the ball in the fairway on the back none. The greens are fast and you need to take less club than you think. Most of I the holes allow you to run the ball up to the green. Trouble is always at the back of the green. Not a long course, it poses a challenge for most golfers. Good for a fun day of golf. Great value.
GV
Great value at great price. Play was slow, holiday made busier.
All around pretty good condition for this time of year
Nice course that is relatively short and easy to get around in 4-41/2 hours even though it was quite busy. The course is in decent condition considering the winter we've had and they only opened 2 weeks ago. A little soggy here and there, but greens are in nice shape. Food & beverage service good and 2 beer carts were out and about. Food at the clubhouse is above average and the staff or always very polite, professional and accommodating. Great day!
