Unprofessional tee time management
I called 1 day ahead, to confirm my tee time for 4 players. Upon arrival, we were told that we would have to start on the back 9, since a tournament was set to begin on the front 9 in 1 1/2 hours. Due to the tournament schedule, we were not allowed to finish the front 9 holes! While complaining to management during a stressful lunch, we left dissappointed, but had an 18 hole raincheck coupon. I will use my raincheck, but will seriously think about ever returning to this course. This type of scheduling during a tournament is unacceptable.
With such unprofessionable scheduling, Simoro should not be allowed to use the services of golfnow.com
Greens in good condition - fairways soggy
Overall we had a nice pleasant experience on a beautiful fall day. Friendly staff and the greens we in very nice shape. There are about six fairways that are quite low and were very wet.
Old style course.
This is a course that would require attention but is fun to play. Greens are slow and hard to hold as they are very hard and egg shape. (Crown). Most of the Greens are built from the shape of the land. Short course. Long hitters, you will require your drivers on only a few holes. If you are looking for a fun course to play friends and do not care about the manicure, Simoro will do the job.
Rustic, but with perfect greens.
Although rough around the edges, this course has a lot to offer. The fairways, though a little shaggy, are well layed out and make you play a more strategic game-I think I used my driver twice. It's a nice mix of forest and marsh with rolling hills. The greens were very well maintained and the ball rolled true.
Reserving tee time thru Golfnow.com
I booked a tee time for 2:30 p.m. When I arrived at the course I was told that I could only play the front nine twice due to Ladies Night. The pro shop stated that the tee time should have been removed from the Golfnow site; but they forgot to do so. No compensation was offered for their mis-communication. And further, the golf carts need to be maintained on a regular basis.
good course with challenges especially a few narrow fairways
There were not ballwash stands at all tees. Not all players fixes their ball marks on the putting greens. Made for some interesting puts.
Great value for your money, friendly and accommodating staff.
Nice people, good little track, challenging greens. It was the second time I have played that course and I liked it more then the first time because I knew the holes a little more and what to expect. This short course deserves some respect or it will eat you up with small and undulating greens and overall slope.
We like it here !
We haven't played here alot but when we do, we really enjoy ourselves. Its not in pristine condition but there are some good points as well. There are a number of very tricky holes and dog legs, which we like, but there ae some holes that are downright too tricky , especialy the 68 yard, over marsh to a very tricky slanted green back to the marsh. I have lost too many balls there. Overall if its not busy its fun to play, especially if you have lots of spare balls. lol
Great round!
We really enjoyed our day! Beautiful Sunday afternoon! It was busy, but we didn't get paired up with anyone, play was steady. Greens were fast on front nine the day we were there. The fairways were well maintained. I can't wait to play this course again!
Backline has challenging design.
Frontline has easier than backline. Backine has more difficult green for me.
although it has been a relatively wet spring, the higher elevation holes need water.
No waiting. when we arrived a half hour early we were permitted to tee off right away. There is an irrigation system present, but several off the holes - particularly the higher elevation fairways - were quite dry
Not bad for a low end course
Would appear from other reviews the course suffers from either extreme wet or extreme dry conditions. In my case extreme dry conditions resulting in uncontrollable bounces and rolls. Greens are for the most part small and rounded, fairways needed to be cut, very difficult to find your ball at times. It is what it is, a low end course that for the right price is not a bad trek
Nice course but very narrow and mosquito and horse fly infested
Course needs better signage. We got confused Se real times not knowing where next hole was.
fairways need to be better maintained. really just needs cut more often peaple were loosing their ball in the fairways.Bunkers were like cement. needs

Greens were in great shape.
This course was a lot of fun.
The conditions were wet but we had a blast playing this course.
Great atmosphere
Always have a wonderful time when we go to Simoro - course is interesting and well maintained, lots of wildlife to watch, and people are the nicest at any golf course I've been to...easily the best value for golf in the area!
OUCH
Fairway grass which was very long and uneven appeared to have been uncut this season. As a result many lost balls found on fairways. Probably should not have been open to carts as it was very wet.
Thanks for being open in late November...
Course was very wet, cart paths only. But it was great golf for under $30.00 on 22 November. Defenite return in summer time.
