Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

Nice course but the staff messed up
Really nice course, we’ll maintained, greens were quick, ground staff doing a good job. My only issue is the staff allowed a 4 ball to slot in in front of us as we started the back 9. Pace of play for the first 8 holes was perfect but inserting another 4 ball meant waiting at the tee as the new group waited to play. I’ve never known a golf course insert a 4 ball between groups like this before, it killed pace of play for us and the group behind us who quickly caught up. The guy in the pro shop then flat out denied they’d done this which added insult to injury. Aside from this Issue I like the course and would play again.
Nice course
Course was in nice shape. Very organized for checking in. All safety protocols in place. Pace of play was on the slow side as it took 4 hours 50 minutes. Recommended on the scorecard was 4 hours 10 minutes . Saw the cart girl at least 6 times which was good as it was a hot day.
Lawn care during round
Played Friday morning with tee off at 8am. For about 16 holes there was full lawn care occurring including riding mowers on all fairways and around greens plus grass trimmers on most holes. I understand lawn care is paramount, however, a Friday morning during peak playing time and cost seemed odd. Maybe it’s the norm. It was completely disruptive and intrusive as it was occurring on basically every hole. Maybe there’s no way around it but I’ve never seen so much lawn care occurring during a round. I will say it’s a very nicely manicured course, which makes sense.
Not in great shape and very slow
Will go elsewhere next time.
Was on track for about a 5.5 hour round. Quit after 17.
Saw ranger twice but he was ineffectual.
Fairways are pretty baked, as were the traps.
Pretty course but not worth the money.

Challenging traditional course with good distance. Greens are in good shape. Asphalt paths need repair. I play there all the time and its never a bad experience. $100cdn price tag is on the high side.
Course is challenging.
Have played Glen Eagle Golf Club for many years. Always enjoyed.
Great Round
Staff was friendly and informative on arrival. Challenging course. The greens were in amazing shape. The roughs and some tee boxes could use a little work and the pathways and power carts could use an upgrade, especially if you’re going to pay $100 to play. Would play again!
Glen Eagle Review
The course was in excellent condition. I have always enjoyed the course design here; it's rugged and challenging. Given the temperature it was nice to see their cart person pass us very frequently...it's the first course I've played this season that's been that attentive to the heat issue.
Good Course
Glen Eagle has some challenging holes but overall is pretty fair for most golfers. It is maintained well and the starter is a nice guy and maintains the pace of play well along with the warden. I played on a Saturday and thought the price was a little high for the level of course... although well maintained, a lot of the holes felt similar
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
