Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

Played a little slow
I guess the most disappointing thing for me was the pace of play. We had to wait at every tee for the group in front. On the 18th tee there were two groups waiting... Never saw a marshal. Seems everyone played the Blue yellow combination and few if any played the red nine. The course itself was very good and fair but I was turned off by an almost 4.5 hour round in October...
Good Course
It’s a long course but well maintained and definitely tricky to maneuver.
The trees add a level of difficulty.
It would be nice if they had a layout of each hole on either the score card or at the hole marker itself.
Because it’s fall, there were a lot of leaves and other debris on the greens which leave the greens to be a little inconsistent on speed.
Overall, worth the money.
(I was surprised at how long it took to finish, good course tho).
Great course to play
I had a great time at the course, nice maintained course and friendly staffs! I will play again

OK for HotDeal
Played for a good HotDeal price (also with discount code). Weather not ideal (cool and windy) - may explain why it felt deserted. Reception OK; starter nowhere to be seen, but cart guy got me started. Fairways needed mowing (shaggy mainly, with a few bare spots). Greens good, with a lot of unrepaired ballmarks. Able to finish round (on my own, with a cart) in almost 3 hours. Layout OK; 27 holes but only 18 in play this day. Would recommend.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
The greens were in rough shape
Most of the greens on the Blue nine were missing grass. The Yellow nine was marginally better.

Good course
The course is really nice , great layout , very good greens. Wish there was a nicer patio but that doesn't take away from the golf course .
Stay away
As I'm writing this review I am on the 5th hole two and a half hours in to my round basically a 15 10 to 15 minute wait at are hole this course used to be in very good condition the Atlantic Fairways are okay roads are terrible I would not recommend this course to anybody

Great course
Well maintained for a public course. Challenging yet playable. Recommend for anyone looking for fair value. Great scenic views as well. Friendly staff and pace of play was fantastic.
Terrible green conditions
Its apparent Glen Eagle is a Tournament golf course; the greens were in horrible condition. On each green there were anywhere from 5 to 20 unrepaired ball marks, shoe scuffs, dirt patches etc. They were rolling quite well but I was very disappointed in the conditions of the greens overall. For the cost, and distance from the city, I would be cautious to play here.
Course has drastically deterirated
Unfriendly staff including the starter especially.
Dirty toilets.
The course has not seen water for weeks
Very slow play(5 hrs riding)
No marshaling
Unprofessional grounds crew( Fellow was water green for over 10 min while we waited to shoot)
The course has deteriorated drastically in the past 2 years
Will never play there again
Grossly expensive for the condition of the course
NOT worth 90$
If you pay 90$ for this course you will be disappointed. I couldnt tell the difference between fairways and rough on some holes. Half of the bunkers aren't bunkers anymore and the greens are average at best. For the money you can go play bond head or other cared for courses. I'm not sure if they are just letting this course go but i wouldn't pay more than 60-70$ max with a cart.
Hope this helps!
For the price....
Bad first tee management
We booked 18 holes as a Hot Deal on GolfNow.
We teed off at 2:46 and finished the first 9 by about 5:00
When we reached the tee for our 10th hole there were carts assembled for a club event and we were unable to complete our round without an hour wait.
We asked for a rain check for the 9 unplayed holes but this was referred to the course pro who later declined saying we had to get our refund from GolfNow (which is not possible).
This was a surprising and unsatisfactory situation.reflecting very poorly on the course management.
