Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

Poor conditions
This course is going downhill fast, I won’t ever play there again. Greens aren’t cut properly, bunkers have weeds growing out of them. Tee box grass isn’t cut. Even the carts are slow and old. They charged 60 for a twilight tee off at 5 pm, I wouldn’t go back for free. Bunch of hacks.
Solid course
All 3 nines are solid. Traditional style layout nothing fancy but great spot to come play. Good conditions, would recommend to all skill levels
Nice rolling terrain
Very cold and windy , yet sunny day to play golf . Only a few other golfers out .
Played the original course opened in 1962 , nice combo of Blue , Yellow and Red courses.
Length is challenging, especially in heavy winds .
A few more (and visible ie - in ground plaques ) fairway distance markers , would really help .
Overall , the course is a lot of fun to play .
HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CLUB AND PLAYERS
Course layout was challenging!
Not sure why golf management let six Golfers all play in same tee time??????!!!!!!!
Three Golfers behind us wants to finish game quick and before dark, but they are late/not ready at the tee. So we all ready and play first but after the six-some!!!
The 3some behind us hit balls while we are at the fairway within their hiting range. I have to shout loud and asked them to slow down.
Clearly we are on pace...
Golfers, please respect other golfers!!!
Glen Eagle Club Management, can you let me know why you can have six golfers tee off same time????
Condition was good for this time of year
The course is in good condition for this time of year.
It rained the previous night so the bunkers were not raked at all during the day, a little disappointing considering the sun was shinning all afternoon..

Perfect Course
i don't typically write reviews but when the course is this good...i have to! It was my first time playing Glen Eagle (Red to Blue) and my only negative words is the distance you have to ride back to the clubhouse when you finish hole #9 of the Blue Course, Perhaps better signage would also make it easier to navigate (for 1st timers like me!!) Aside to that, the course conditions at Glen Eagle were spectacular! To that point, i sincerely do not believe I even saw ONE "weed" anywhere on the course. Typically the $$ here is a little out of my budget but thanks to being a Golfnow VIP and a discount here and there i was able to finally get on this course. It will definitely be in my plans for the future and I HIGHLY recommend this course...even if you have to save your loose change for a bit to pay for it (at regular rates) like I will be doing. :)
Good course, good round
The course itself was great but it could up its game in overall amenities. For a nearly $100 round, pour a free cup of coffee. Open the halfway house on a busy Sunday. GPS in carts? Have the drinks cart show up more often. Like I said, it got the hard stuff right. The easy "experience" stuff needs attention.

Glen Eagle
I am always excited to play Glen Eagle, however, I was disappointed that about the pace of play on the back nine. There should have been a few marshals on the course to suggest to the two-some in front of us, to move the pace along. Plus I didn't know you can play golf in your work boots
In addition, we hardy saw the cart girl and the halfway house was closed. .

Not busy but slow group ahead
The course is in very good condition, greens are the largest I have played in a long time and difficult pin position. The foursome ahead were very slow but let us through on the 13 hole . 5 hours to finish 18

The course is a challenge for a beginner like myself but challenged you to play better.
the staff was terrific they were on top of everything and always gave a helping hand.
the staff in the restaurant were quick and the burger and fries were done perfectly.
I would recommend this course to everyone.

Wayne, we get it, you didn't like getting stuck behind a group of 6.
What we don't know is why they were together. We don't know if the starter grouped them or if two threesomes or a threesome and a pair joined up. It happens. That's golf.
There's no need to respond to every single one of Glen Eagle's reviews with the same comment over and over again.
