Going downhill year after year
Bond Head used to be a premium course. Every year Clublink has tried to pack more golfers in, which investing less into the maintenance of the club. It is really a shame. I would gladly play a premium to get around this course in a reasonable time. However, it is now cheap, and the product and pace suffers accordingly.
Thanks for the positive review. Don't hesitate to write us with any specific feedback.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Better green conditions
Finally, the better than before green conditions at bond head match its reputation
Hi Derek. Thanks for the positive review, we are glad to hear you enjoyed the greens and course conditions.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Great course.
Thoroughly enjoyed the course although signage for first time visitors could be better to facilitate faster play.
Thanks for the 5 star review! We are glad to know you enjoyed the round, and we have passed along your signage comment to the operations team for review.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Thanks for the 5 star review!
We appreciate it, and hope to see you back for another visit soon.
South vs north
I played the north mostly over the past 4 years and played the south only once last year and it was in great shape as it has been in the years before where I played numerous games per year.
But this year, after already playing the north twice the greens were, to me, slowish but more importantly very inconsistant with regards to speed. Every third hole or so the speed changed . The greens were full of ball marks unrepaired which is always a shame for the next golfer.
Glad I did not pay full price, playing the north tomorrow. Overall both 18's are very spectacular.
Hi markkeilhauer. Thanks for taking the time to review your recent round.
We appreciate the positive words on both courses. Although we mention the importance of golfer's fixing their ball marks, we have unfortunately seen many not fixed. We will continue to advise all golfers and have the turf crew fix when available to do so. We hope to see you back again soon.
Excellent
Very scenic let you think about every shot excellent layout was well worth the price
Hi Tony. Thanks for the 5 star review!
We appreciate the kind words and we hope to see you back again soon!
No range balls to warm up with, which was a huge disappointment for this course.
HI Fabio. Thanks for taking the time to review your recent experience, and for the positive review score.
We provide complimentary range balls to our Players Club Members, and charge for all other public players. We would be pleased if you'd like to consider the public membership in the future as the most economical way to play our course and receive free range balls on day of play.

Perfect Golf Day
Liked the South far more than North course at Bond Head. A lot less quirky and gimmicky.
It was a perfect day weather wise.
The course was a bit baked out, but that's understandable based on the heat. Made for a more links feel when playing, which I enjoyed a lot.
Greens were quick and ran pretty true. Considering the wintering a lot of courses had to deal with, these rebounded well.
It's a tougher course, so my only drawback was the pace of play, but 5 hours for a 4some isn't too bad.
Will absolutely be back soon!
Thanks for the 5 star review!
There is commonly a strong preference between the clubs, but are glad to know you found you preference in the South Course.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Great course!
Just finished playing Bond Head - South this afternoon. Overall it was a good time. The course was in great shape and the greens were very challenging to read.
Only complaint I have is with today’s Marshall being presumptuous on my group playing too slow. However, the Starter decided to pair myself and my playing partner with another pair...which makes 4 persons at a tee time. When you have four people playing the same hole at once with different tee boxes the pace is going to be slow.
But in our case, after I checked my watch timer at hole 7 we were a bit under 2 hours, and we had just teed off. Our pace was on point despite the unwarranted comments by the Marshall. In the end our group was split into two, which it should’ve been from the start!
We ended up completing our round in 4 hours and 20 minutes. Moving forward I would recommend on-course staff to push groups of two ahead separately if they aren’t booked together. We weren’t playing in a charity tournament!
The Pro shop ladies and lady in the cart were very nice! Perhaps the on-course crew could use a woman’s touch or influence in order to think differently!
Hi donoservice. Thanks for the positive review, we are glad to know you enjoyed your round.
We look forward in hosting you again soon!
HI Rockwell25. Thanks for the positive review, never hesitate to let us know anything we can do to enhance your experience further.
We hope to see you back again soon!
Memorable......For all the wrong reasons!
Not in the customer service business. Place has really gone downhill over the past 5 years. Theft onsite, and no guarantees they will remember your tee-time when you show up.
Hi presidentus.
Can you please contact us at djohnstone@clublink.ca or 905-841-5351 to discuss the items mentioned in your above review.
Tough Test of Golf
Bond Head South Course is a great course to play for the money. Well laid out and in great shape, better than Eagles Nest and Angus Glen North. If this course was in the city they could charge as much as the other courses and this would still be the best of the three. I will go back!!!!
Reasonable course, horrible pace of play
Beware playing here if time /pace is important to you. This recent weekend round was 5 hours 45 minutes. Didn't see a a marshal or course attendant throughout the round, abnormally long waits on almost every shot. Clearly this happens when you are packed in 7.5 minute intervals and accept multiple "small" tournaments on earlier tee times.
Management couldn't be bothered to do anything about it or compensate for the poor service.
Thanks for taking the time to review your recent round.
I am disappointed to hear of the poor pace of play experience, and although we don't space the tee times at 7.5 minutes as you mentioned, we do space them 9 minutes between with a starter time each 90 minutes to ensure sufficient time between groups. I do see there was a small event that day, but as it was set-up as 1st tee start, rather than a shotgun where you see normal delays or spacing issues. It is unfortunate that some groups do find the courses quite challenging and therefore cause some unplanned delays - I will review the pace of play for the day and review with the local team to evaluate ways to improve.
I am happy to discuss further, and look forward in making your next experience enhanced. I can be reached at djohnstone@clublink.ca so we can review at further length.
Thanks for taking the time to review your recent round.

Hi George!
2 reviews for the same round - it must have been worth playing! :)
We hope to have you back again soon.
Challenging but Worth playing at Bond Head South
Bond Head South course is long but well laid out and in excellent condition. It's very challenging from the Gold, Black & Blue Tee but worth a try. If you're playing first time try it from White Tee. Free holes are very beautiful to look at from the tee box. Pace of play is questionable on weekends due to slow/first time players getting lot of penalties. Hazards do come into play at few holes. Club house is excellent and when you sit outside over looking at range with beautiful sunset. Pub to banquate and change room are amazing. Pro shop experience was great. Need lot more promotions at the club house restaurant. Beer cart had an expensive Red wine, they need to be little reasonable with prices.
Thanks for the 5 star review!
We are glad to hear of your positive experience - although the courses can play tough, we are glad you could enjoy the natural beauty of them as well.
We will pass along all of your comments to our operations teams and hope we can host you again in the near future.
Great golf course!
It was my first time playing at Bond Head (South Course). The layout is amazing, the scenery is spectacular! The course is in great condition considering how much rain has fell and how early it is in the season. I will definitely be back!
Thanks for the 5 star review!
We are so pleased to hear your positive comments and experience.
We can't wait to host you again soon!
Hi Michael,
We are sorry to hear your round did not meet expectations. Bond Head is arguably in its best shape over the past 5 years this season. Unfortunately to be in the golf business it is a goal to generate more rounds and it seems doing so has disrupted an unsustainable pace of play expectation from years ago.
Due to the difficulty of the courses we maintain a 4 hour, 45 minutes pace for the clubs and although we always look to surpass that - it is the timing we suggest to plan for. If your pace was longer than that, then we would love to hear from you to discuss the round further (playersclub@clublink.ca), I would highly suggest our 'play fast' tee times first thing in the morning as an opportunity to play the course as quickly as you would like!
We hope to see you give us another chance and we are happy to coordinate your tee time with directly to ensure the best possible experience.
