Great value course
I'm used to playing my rounds at Don Valley where a round with a split cart is up to $76 during the week, so I welcomed the opportunity from GolfNow to check out a new place for $56 with cart. I would say that Bradford Highlands is in better shape than DVGC but a little bit easier, but for the price you really can't go wrong if you don't mind the 45 minute drive north.
My only beef with the round was the slow 3some in front of us. The marshalls were all over the course driving by and very friendly but there isn't really a point of flying around there if you aren't helping to maintain the pace. It wasn't any slower than I'm used to in Toronto, though, it's just that they have so many marshalls around so they might as well get them to do the right things.
The greens are very fast and have a ton of sneaky slopes, very difficult to read. At the very least you should check out this course once to see if it's a place you'd like to return to.
Good track near home
This course is close to us and as busy as it is takes a little longer to play. Greens are aways in good shape; lots of undulation.
Good value
Decent course at a reasonable rate.
Not a championship course but challenging enough for the better player and forgiving enough for the high handicappers.
Friendly staff and service.
Overall a 'good value for money' course.
Good find north of Toronto
Great course about 30 mins north of Toronto. I played there yesterday while visiting for work and really enjoyed the course. Good club rental price $20 and affordable rate for mid-afternoon. Course is pretty challenging with some twisty par 4's and uphill par 5's. According to the locals I was paired with, the course was in better shape and less expensive than most of the over-priced courses in Toronto proper.
Good Course
Overall the course is a good one, good size greens, fairways in good condition and water comes into play. Cart paths are gravel - makes for a dusty trip around the course on a cart.
Great course, always in good shape.
Pace of play is good. The course feels to play longer than what it really is. Careful on the greens to look at the overall lay of the land or you may get surprises when the ball doesn't break quite how you read it. Greens and fairways in great shape.
The Course is generally good
The courese is well laid out and generally good. Most people who play there do not clear the ball marks on the green. Maybe, they should put a notice near the green to clean up the ball marks.
It is a good course and good value for money.
Course was in great condition, good value for the price.
Course was within 15 minutes of the house. In good condition and staff are helpful and friendly. The only problem we had was never seeing a marshall to deal with a slow group in front of us. We talked to the people ourselves and they let us play through. All in all we enjoyed our day.
Underrated course, go play it!
Very well run course, from the head pro, to the people who work in the pro shop, to the maintenance staff who do a great job with the greens. The track is maturing, and trees they planted years ago are starting to come into play - the course will continue to get more challenging as the years go by. And of course, don't get on the wrong side of some of the sloping greens on your approach shots!
Good value for $$$.
Played 1st time. Good overall experience. Greens can be difficult and quick. Will come back for another round.
Excellent value
Package for $60 (tax incl) included a cart and bucket of range balls. The course was in great shape. Machine which dispensed balls at the range was empty which was disappointing and no one from the back was working to dispense some. That was the only unfortunate part of the course. Great greens, fast and firm. Water comes into play a few times when you dont expect it, but having the card from the course (pictures and target yardage included) make the round far easier for a first time. Plan on going again.
Great value for money
The course overall was excellent, the fairways were outstanding and the greens were very well maintained. I found the greens to be quick and therefore challenging with suble undulations, some of the fairways were narrow. Play was very slow due to a tournament ahead of us. Overall a good experience, will go back if I find another deal.
Average course
On a hot day, it was not busy and was able to finish in 3.5 hr.
Very playable for all levels.
Good test from the back tees. The real challenge is on the greens. Tough to get it close and lots of subtle breaks. Course in good shape. About the only thing I would complain about is the tee boxes... furry and not flat. But not a deal breaker
Course continues to be in fine playing condition,
Played this course a few times. One of my top Ten courses to play. Slow play becomes a problem at certain times of day.
Marshalls have to do a better job of moving faster players ahead of slow golfers.
It's a pretty good deal from golfnow or for twilight rates.
The course has some nice holes and isn't too tough but It is challenging enough for a good golfer. It does have water and hazards that come into play on several holes. There are bunkers around and they are in good shape with decent sand. The fairways and greens are pretty good.
Best bang for the buck!
Excellent course. Greens were in perfect condition as was the rest of the course. Plays 6700 yards from the tips. Would definitely play again!
Nice course
Employees are very friendly.
We were playing 18 holes on June 15,2013. Tee time at 4:00pm.
Booked by golfnow hot deals we got practice ball and cart.
