Enjoyed the pro level length of every hole, however conditions/signage are brutal
I'll probably be back, it's a good place for a casual game. All par 4's are around 450 yards and par 5's are 550 give or take, which I like. Some holes need a drive of 200+ just to clear hazard. I can't complain with the design of any of the holes.
Ok now the warnings. The signage is poor and yardage markers are sketchy at best. Every irrigation head area has turf damage due to lack of drainage. The greens are extremely slow and poorly kept. Don't even ask about the bunkers.
Overall I'm willing to come back again for such a good price considering the full size length of the course. It's good for me to bring family here who is just starting out with golf. If you're picky about greens and short game or playing serious I wouldn't recommend.
Avoid At All Costs
If you are looking to play a golf course as the average person would determine a golf course to be then please avoid this "course." The holes have no real direction to them and there are no maps. There is an absence of fairways, which instead are just dirt field.
The sand traps in this course are just dried up mud. The fairways are mostly brown and dug up, and where there actually is some green grass it is long.
Throughout the course are bridges leading over sewage paths that are not really safe to travel over, especially with a cart. The "patio" at the clubhouse violates several construction codes.
GolfNow should be embarrassed to have this course listed on their site.
Parkshore Played
Course was as long as advertised. No indication of hole layout at tee boxes, when there were tee boxes. Last three holes there were no tee boxes, but only one marker and then left to guess where the other tee marker would be. Pin flags not of uniform colour, and had to guess where pin was since golfing there for first time. Traps were not traps, since there didn't seem to have sand.
poor but can improve
have played this course many times over the years, seen it go from one of the best values in the gta to unplayable over the last few. Bit the bullet and played it again recently, a quick 9 for 20 bucks turned out to be not a bad deal, the course is still pretty rough but it was better than the last time played it. Fairways were clean but very dry, a new sprinkler system may fix that, greens range from poor to good condition , It is a good challenge for any golfer for a practice round, not a course to spend a day on right now, but it looks like a effort is being made to improve conditions and make the course fun to play again. Lets hope so, it's a good links style layout. Will play again but cannot recommend just yet.
great 9 hole course
course was in good condition.friendly staff new pro shop will play again
Garbage course
Doesnt even feel like you are golfing. the greens are like bunkers and you play on a football field.
Horrible
This course is the worst course I have ever played. We had to buy a cart to play because the lakes had overflowed. Rather then close the course we were forced to buy a cart and drive through 6inch deep mini lakes just to get from hole to hole. Never going back and hope others don't either
improvements needed
not very well marked as to hole locations fairway grass was all long it was hard to find balls after hitting needs improvement maybe it was just early into season maybe it would be better in july or aug
Puppy mill
This is not a golf course it is an open field with flag like targets.
If puppy mills were golf courses this would be one.
It does the job but better options out there.
course not kept well
I played this course at the beginning of the year and the condition appears to be ok. However, when I played there this date, the course condition was close to that of a farm field that has not looked after for years.
I understand this course is not the best, but was hoping that it would be playable.
Immensely disppointed.
rough
Poor conditions good for practice i guess. 600 yard par 5 why ..... Its just a strange little place
Horri-awful
Literally can't get worse than this course. Would not recommend
Poor Conditions
Used to be a decent course. Has not been maintained. Fairways and greens were completely dried out and played like concrete. The rough has overgrown and water elements and related footpaths and bridges are all in serious disrepair. Too bad. Used to be a decent 9 for an after work hit.
Not worth playing here
Long course with hardly indication of where to go. More than one of the greens were reduced to dirt. Bridges to cross the streams have large drops at the end. The roof of the cart was broken. After dropping off a bridge, the support arms came loose and the roof landed on our drivers. I was surprised they were not broken. I would not play here again even if it was free.
What a joke!
The Pro shop is a mobile home and I'm not sure the grass has ever been cut! Very disappointing! The course was just confusing. Not to mention on a Sunday the course backs into a train on one side and a ware house on the other side that happened to have cultural drumming and singing for hours! Not very relaxing.
I will say that the washrooms were clean and the staff was friendly enough.
A strange course nestled between the 427 and an industrial complex.
The longest 9 holes course in Ontario, Very true but not in great condition. clay fairways and goose droppings greet you on most holes. Some water but extremely high grass and reeds make it difficult to spot. A disused railway line greets you on the left at hole # 5 and most times I have played, single players sneak on without paying and search for lost golfs balls.
Great for a practice round,( never busy) but not a real golf course.
It could be if someone spent some money but I believe it will be a sub-division before long.
