Don't take this course seriously
good value with GolfNow for practice. No drainage usually pools of water to cross getting from holes 1 thru 3. Lack maintenance. BTW - this is a 9 holes only course.
You get what you pay for
It's very inexpensive but you know why after you play it.
By far the worst
Overall the worst conniptions I've ever played in. The grass hadn't been cut in weeks. Greens were at least an inch and a half long grass. "fairways" were like playing in my backyard. Dead grass everywhere. The cups were completely damaged to the point the ball would get kicked away from the cup. Just awful. Spenad the extra $10-15 and play somewhere else. You'll enjoy yourself much more.
Nice course
But really bad conditions everything it need to be fix
Poor greens and geese droppings
It's been about 20 years since I played this course and the condition has really dropped. Most of the greens have many dead spots, there is a minefield of geese dropings, the bunkers are like cement with weeds growing and the marshy areas are goofball graveyards. The only positive is the relatively cheap green fee price.
Rough conditions
What I like: length and challenges of the course. The staff was nice.
What I don't like: the course conditions are really really rough, geese droppings everywhere, and more than a couple spots that require blind shots. Not a lot of elevation changes. The greens had big bare patches exposing cracked soil, the fairways were weedy and rough. Almost as bad as another Brampton course whose name starts with a C. Consider yourself forewarned.
Needs Some Work
Had not played this course since the mid-90's and had been told of an ownership change.
Unfortunately at least 6 greens out of 9 were in bad to very bad shape. Not sure if it was winter kill or what but much of the putting surfaces on many greens were void of any grass.
Holes were challenging enough because of length but bad greens left a "bad taste".
awful
Hands down the worst golf course i have ever played.
Never again
Course was full of geese and ducks along with their feces. Half of the 8th hole was a complete mess and muddy and the 9th hole was unplayable. Seems like the drainage is non-existent on this course. course paths are usually flooded and you have to walk on rickety skids to move along the course.
Poor greens and too many marshes
This is our second time playing the course. Same complaints that we had last year. The marshes are plentiful which means many lost balls. The greens were horrible. If the course was better maintained it would be a great nine hole course that was challenging!
Can be a great place if a little attention is given
Nice course but needs to fine tune little things like to cut tees and rough areas. I think they cut the grass once a week but needs to be at least twice.
Sand traps have been abandoned which needs attention. I like the course and has great potential but needs to remember it is a golf course not just a business to make a few bucks.
Course poorly maintained
Course was very poorly maintained. Cracked earth everywhere, ball travelled fast no matter what and there was so much goose waste that we had to stop as soon as the light started to dim a little for fear of being saturated.
Good value
Greens in terrible shape. Brown with cracked soil. Bunkers in rough shape. All sorts of growth in the sand all unraked.
Ample openings for booking though. For $7 for nine holes and $4 for push cart rental great value to smack done balls around.
Do t think I'll be going back though.
Stay Awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
worst golf course ive ever been to absolutely a waste of money and time disgusting that they can even stay in business
terrible course
Terrible conditions of this course.
I will never play there.
do not play
in very bad condition, over grown and the greens were very bad. only 2 greens didn't have winter kill and the bunkers have not been worked on all year.
worthless
Not worthy. Do not go there. Not maintained well. Bad hole layout. Ugly green.
Poor maitinence
Because you can get on this course for such a low cost it makes it worth playing for the amateur looking to improve their game. Very long and challenging par 5's
Good for practice, keep expectations low.
Pros:
- Cheap (especially if you get a hot deal)
- 3 par 5's (you can utilize your entire bag)
- Each hole is pretty much straight (good cause I'm a beginner)
Cons:
- Not well maintained (brown spotted greens, sand traps are clay traps, goose droppings everywhere, parking is just rocks)
- Aesthetics (tall grass, cart paths/guide paths just bare dirt, more swamp like look to it, upon arriving the "clubhouse" is just a regular home and the course just seems like it is it's backyard.)
- Each hole is pretty much straight (I did write this in the "pros" section on top, but it's also a con for those who are looking for more of a course challenge rather than just a length challenge.)
