A strange course nestled between the 427 and an industrial complex.
The longest 9 holes course in Ontario, Very true but not in great condition. clay fairways and goose droppings greet you on most holes. Some water but extremely high grass and reeds make it difficult to spot. A disused railway line greets you on the left at hole # 5 and most times I have played, single players sneak on without paying and search for lost golfs balls.
Great for a practice round,( never busy) but not a real golf course.
It could be if someone spent some money but I believe it will be a sub-division before long.
not worth it
Wet conditions, poorly maintained greens, t blocks, no signage for holes. Bridges not even safe. First hole was difficult to play and even find the flag, same with #8
Great people and service. However, course is weak.
Great people And I hate to leave a review like this. The place is not very attractive and is really very Spartan. The weeds are too high to see the tees, some of the ruff is way to high. I think the course is worth $10 but not more than that, and only if you in the area and don't want to travel elsewhere. You basically in a hydro field sandwiched by train tracks and a busy road.
Long course but very poorly maintained
Poor course conditions. Long course but the course was soggy in some spots, dried out in others, and the grass was way too long. Fairways were bad, and greens really slow
Awful conditions
The only maintenance of this course is grass cutting which is minimal and sub par at best. Bunkers were full of water and rock hard if they weren't. No chance retrieving a hazard ball due to 8-9' tall bull rushes that make shots extremely hard to track. Would not recommend to anyone even at the $10 price.
Course condition has gone downhill
Back in the early 1990's I lived near this course when it was recently opened and this was quite a nice course. The owner had a goal to make the course one of the best 9 hole courses in Ontario. He spent money in getting Ohio sand for the bunkers, etc. Now it has new owners and is in terrible condition.
Not a golf course
This place doesn't deserve to be a titled a golf course. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because it was cheaper than a bucket of range balls and allowed me to practice my game. Ever feared dying? Take a cart across the broken bridge on the eighth hole and get a shot of adrenaline free of charge!
Great 9 Hole Course
Perfect for a quick round of golf! Just played a round with my 2 brothers and had a blast!! We will be playing more gold this summer at Parkshore!
A walk in the swamp
Having played at Parkshore a couple of times I have low expectations, but for relatively few bucks it provides a place to hit some ball and practice some shots. I unwisely played there yesterday after a fairly wet week...it was a total swamp. Had to crawl over temporary wooden platforms to avoid drowning...what a mess. Everything about the place has gotten completely run down....suspect it's shutting down soon.
Terrible
Greens were completely garbage and fairways were thick enough to be the first cut. Maintenance was not even close to average...I do not recommend this unless you like to throw your money away.
Bad condition
This course use to be well kept and was a challenge, but the change of ownership has left this facility to deteriorate to a condition beyond my comprehension. Not worth the money.
Awful Course and Customer Service
The course is right across the street from my office so it's convenient for a quick round before/after work. We don't go there much because the course isn't in great shape at all and there is goose turds everywhere..but golf is golf. The last 2 times we've tried to go, we've made a 7AM tee time and when we get to the course - NO ONE IS THERE. We knock on the door, call - no answer. So twice now we haven't been able to play because the employees can't wake up on time. Terrible customer service. Save your money and go to course that actually knows how to honour a tee time.
Just Not Happening But...
The course has plenty of length but that's almost all it has. From the unpaved parking lot when you pull in, to the mobile home clubhouse, it's just not happening. The bunkers are unplayable- there's no sand! The maintenance in general of the property honestly the poorest I've seen.
But not all is lost. You can ride the 9 for $20 and the pace of play is great. The young girl in the clubhouse is very nice and pleasant and its plenty long to pull out the driver half a dozen times.
In conclusion, don't expect manicured fairways and such here. But if you feel like hitting a ball around a field for 1 1/2 hours, go for it!
un maintained course ...no sand in bunkers
This course is not maintained and the cart that we had basically started to break down about the 5th hole and I could walk faster than the cart to my ball...wasn't impressed...but at least we played for cheap
More than a nine hole
I like this course because it's not like your typical short 9 hole course. You get a chance to play driver multiple times as well as requiring many of the clubs in your bag. I like the layout, and the course is challenging.
The greens are far from pristine, but hey, what do you want for 15 bucks?
MANY IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED HRE
TERRIBLE CONDITIONS-USE FOR PRACTISE ONLY- NOT WORTH PLAYING HERE AT ALL
Nice 9-hole course
This is a good course that everything you need if you want to go out and sharpen your skills. Somewhat unusual as you enter from the parking lot as the proshop is a house, but once on the course, I found it was great, although the bunkers are not good and the greens need to be cut. I would definitely play again, if you have only time for nine and want to get some swings in. It's worth it.
BONUS DAYS!!!
I think everyone who didn't play yesterday were kicking themselves while they spent the perfect afternoon with family on their patio/deck.
We played 9 then decided another 9 was in order.
I myself ran out of gas around 13 or 14 but it was still worth the $22 for a very decent 18 holes of a great game!
Don't take this course seriously
good value with GolfNow for practice. No drainage usually pools of water to cross getting from holes 1 thru 3. Lack maintenance. BTW - this is a 9 holes only course.
