Tough 9 Hole!
Only a 9 Hole course, however, it is a tough course. The course can do with some love. There was a ball washer set up only on one hole. The course is still very wet and invariably you are playing from plugged lies and there is a lot of mud on the ball. The greens are dry and run pure, however, without facilities to clean the ball, course play can take long. None of the Tee Blocks were setup so you just had to pick a mound and assume that it was a specific tee block - red, white, blue or black. Not everyone has a GPS phone...
this course has poor drainage and therefore very muddy even on fairways
I know I played late in the season (Fall) but all the tee markers were removed and being new to the course I did not what the yardage was. This course was very wet even though we had no rain for the past week. The drainage is very poor. I think the overall it would be much better in the Summer. The clubhouse is not very inviting, no atmosphere and the furnishing very bad. The reception was also very unfriendly and not welcoming.
You get what you pay for; "yes" in recommending, with a caveat*
I come here to "warm up" or practice, which I find I think a lot of other people do here as well. Doesn't require you to book (you can just show up randomly), its cheap (normal prices are $15-25 ish), and it gets the job done! Sometimes I can usually get a Golfnow rate for $7-$10/9 holes, which is awesome!
So for what you pay for, you get a course that's long (you can use all your clubs), doesn't have the greatest of fairways or greens, and for the most part, is not too busy (except the odd time that I've been there). But I definitely wouldn't bring friends to play here (one of them did and complained), unless they've never played golf before or don't mind playing in a field near an industrial area.*
longest 9 hole I've had play
the course is very long, value is OK for what you get. the best deal is out of golfnow on "hot deals". you can criticized the course all day long. perhaps new management doesn't have a vision and the true potential. A new design Utilizing all the land available will give a new prosperous beginning to this gem on the rough.
very bad condition
their clubhouse is filthy, and not so friendly staff, and the course itself needs a lot of attention which I don't think they give.it used to be an OK course before but I think it's taken over by another owner
Good value tough 9 holes.
It is a unique long 9 hole course. If you want to play a tough 9 holes, this course for you. Conditions are ok for a $25 green fee. Need some TLC.
Nice and long, but that's about it
poorly maintained, but the length is great. black tees aren't even rated...
Not in great condition. Not a great ambience. Nestled in a swampy area amidst industrial buildings. Lots of ponds and drainage ditches as hazards.
Notwithstanding the summary observations, if you want a quick round and have time only for a 9 hole course, this fills the bill. Much more challenging than a normal 9 hole executive course. This course is noted as the longest 9 hole course in Canada.
The reason I say I would not recommend is because it does not have the ambience of a really nice course I would want a friend to play with.
This course has challenging hole placement
I have had the pleasure of golfing this course before. However, I brought someone with me from out-of town and had never been to this course before. It was very nice to play the course in such good condition, and the chance to play a full size 9-hole course was of benefit to both my guests and myself.
I would recommend a round at Parkshore to anyone!!
nice course
first time playing this course some of the other reviews were correct about the bunkers but all in all the course was very nice to play, enjoyed the long holes, greens were well maintained pace of play was great no one holding up the play staff was very friendly will be playing this course again in the near future kep up the good work thank you for a great time.
