Great Shape End Of Summer
Today the course was in great shape. The greens were rolling true and pretty fast compared to earlier this year. I’d say it has improved quite a bit since a month ago.
The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Never a problem.
Beverage Cart was present. Good timing. “Where is the cart girl?” She came over the horizon.
Girl in the clubhouse was super nice, friendly and offered ice and lemon wedge with drinks.
Overall great day.
Nice Course
Nice Course but round felt longer because we had to wait at each tee for the group ahead of us.
Don’t waste your money and time
THIS course keeps getting worse and worse...the staff including the marshalls are irrelevant and don’t do a single thing with regards to slow play! Course is in bad shape I assume they don’t have a proper grounds keeper anymore?
My advice don’t waste your time here as there is a lot more better places around the area!!
Lakeridge links
If booking through golfnow, this place should be avoided. 3 times now being treated like a leper. First time, we have no reservation. Trek to car, get my phone, pull up reservation, only to be Oh yeah we found it. 2nd time, charged in addition to fully paid reservation with golfnow or would not be allowed to play.Ended up paying far more than if I just walked in. 3rd time, played in the rain front 9. Rain got heavy, asked for rain check for back 9. No problem they say, then it's, oh you booked with golfnow, me yeah, then you will have to deal with golfnow. That's it I'm done with this course.
Did not see the beverage cart
It was a scorching hot, humid day and never saw the Beverage Cart in 18 Holes. Unacceptable! The group in front of us were walking and must not have been impressed either.
When I went into the Pro Shop after the round they said there was only one cart out there for both courses. That is not Service. Someone could dehydrate pretty easily out there with conditions like today.
The course was in good shape. Greens unusually fast. Bunkers were rock hard but luckily I was only in one and it was along the fairway on a par 5. Pace of play was fantastic! The walkers in front were quick and we played in exactly 4 hours. Never waited, ever.
Hot day but good golf
Played the course for the 2nd time, a couple of holes had some rough patches in the fairway but overall it was in good shape
Greens were fairly quick and rolled true.
Not rushed at all, very friendly staff. Booked it for $60.00 INCL CART WHICH I thought was a good deal.
Will play again for sure
Fun course
This is a fun course to play with a tougher back nine. The fairways were freshly cut and the grass must have been long because the clippings were everywhere. It would have been nice if they were swept. The bunkers were rock hard. Alright for the fairway bunkers but difficult around the greens.
Today played more to a bump and roll game. Playing it short. Hitting the middle of the green meant putting from the far back. It was rolling and not holding.
Played in just under 4 hours.
One beverage cart for both courses is stupid on a hot humid day. We didn’t meet up with her until the 16th Hole. Unacceptable. Someone could have passed out on a day like today.
Good Course, Horrible Experience.
Played whispering ridge twice with no regrets. First time playing this course was the worse golf experience I have ever encountered. Thing's being witnessed, carts driving on the greens, smashing full speed into bumps, players jamming their putters into the cup to get their ball destroying it in the process.
Want more info? you have my details and can reach out, or if you care enough can give me a way to contact you. As my actual review on the situation is being blocked. Until then I will stay away and stick to my usual courses.
Lakeridge
Course was in good shape and staff was nice at clubhouse. Problems were no marshall in site all day and no refreshment cart either. Had 2 groups in front of us yet to tee off multiple times during round on a hot day. With no staff to move play along or offer a cold drink on a hot day my experience was a negative one. Easily solved problems but considering the value is average at best I wouldn't recommend Lakeridge to anyone who wants to play in under 5 hours.
Got through some slow players
The Pro Shop staff are always very friendly and efficient. Checking in has never been a problem.
The Starter is the same. He has us off just in time. The two others that were supposed to join us were late checking in and getting to the first tee. It was a good thing we didn’t have to wait for them. Later on we can see that one guy was giving lessons to the other on the course. And he wasn’t very good either. Not good enough to be giving advice anyways.
The two in front of us were brutal. Playing from the Blue tees and probably shooting over 120. Both all over the place. Plus they were driving their carts too close to the green and off the cart path on the par 3’s. We tried to call into the clubhouse but no one was answering.
We got through them and a walking Threesome on the 10th Hole. Then played the back 9 in 1 hour 40 minutes. We loaded our car, returned the cart and chatted with the Pro Shop staff. Pulling out and driving away I can see the Three walkers still on the 17th hole. Whew, we got by them all. It would have been a long, long day.
I like this course a lot. But they should match people up better and get groups of four out. Too many twos, then four, then two and another two, then three, etc. A Marshall should be available to keep the pace of play to a reasonable time.
Great course if you havent played it worth trying out good yardage from all diffrent tees...
Fun layout, needs some love
Lakeridge links has a really fun layout, it just needs some love. Some of the holes are target type shots that require a very accurate tee shot. The par 3's at lakeridge are a ton of fun. Lots of elevated tees and large greens. Course conditioning is a bit rough. Lots of clover and weeds on the course. The edges of the bunkers need to be maintained a little better as there are no defined edges and they have lots of weeds. Off the fairways, the grass is noticeabley longer at the base of the trees, this needs to be trimmed more regularly as well. Fix this stuff and this could be a real beauty! Fairways and tee decks are in decent shape. The greens are excellent!
