Whispering Ridge Golf Course
About
Whispering Ridge Golf Course is an executive course that was designed to complement its sister course, the nearby Lakeridge Links. Although it does not have the same length the championship Lakeridge Links has, it still offers about the same level of difficulty. The layout offers a different set of challenges, providing a compelling alternative to the other course. Its design is versatile enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. A few water hazards come into play throughout as well as several deep, strategically placed bunkers. The gently rolling terrain provides some undulations in the fairways and greens. The par-3 third hole is one of the most challenging on the golf course with a gulch along the right as well as sand and rough to the left, all waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. Accuracy is a necessity on this tricky hole.

Great value for money
Needs attention to sand traps. Some tee blocks were missing. Tee boxes were pretty chewed up. But the greens and fairways were in fair shape. It’s great to have a fair priced “short” 18 hole course that you can get on without much ado.
Expensive
Was charged over $140 for me and my brother to play golf with a cart. Online it said $45 per person with a cart…
Over rated
I'm uncertain of how this course has the rating it does on golfnow.
They were late getting us out because of a tournament, so we checked in and were told to return in 30 minutes for a cart. Then the guy who checked us in wouldn't give us a cart unless we went in a second time to retrieve a key.
We went to the first hole to wait, as we were waiting I ask the starter if there were visible yardage markers, he told us no. So don't arrive without your yardage finder. This can be extremely dangerous as the caliber of golfer had little to no idea where or how far the ball was going.
Tee offs were in horrible conditions and some had been moved because houses were being built between them. I would say they knocked off 500 yards of the 4600 yard course.
The course was extremely slow taking over 4 and half hours to play the 4100 yards.
Greens were in average condition which I would say was the best part of the course
The layout was very poor
I bought a hot deal, I believe it was around 45.00 I felt it was a real waste of money and I will not return.
Course conditions
The course conditions were terrible! Worst tee boxes and “sand traps” I’ve ever seen. I used to play this course occasionally several years ago and always considered it a decent little value course. No longer the case. It’s in terrible shape.
Great course
The only issue was the slow play but we understood that it was a busy day. Overall… staff was amazing.
Tee boxes need attention
Most of the tee boxes need repair. There was not much grass to tee off from.
Great ataff
Had issues with Golfnow on booking and staff helped me and explained how golfnow works, also honored golfnow's price.
Good bang for your buck.
This course was challenging. Front 9 was much tougher than the back 9. The par 3s were a lot of fun. Green fee and cart for the price here....you certainly can't go wrong. I'd play that again for sure.
