Poor Notification
I was disappointed in the greens. The practice putting green was fine but when you get to the first hole green you see the small tyne holes and the sandy greens. There was no notification from Golf Now, no sign on the Pro Shop counter to let you know about the greens. Hidden Lakes may be the driest course in the area and I know it gets tons of play but let the golfers know the course/greens conditions.
Slow round
Got dark before finishing. Waited every shot with 3 groups on one tee at one point. Didn't see the cart girl once and when we arrived at the halfway house it was closed. Played the new course so going to the clubhouse is not an option. Overall a bad experience, considering this is a clublink course we were very disappointed.
Returned after a couple of years
This was the first time back since CLUBLINK purchased the property, it was good to see that not much has changed. It might be that Hidden Lakes is on the low scale of the Clublink courses because it is the first time at a Clublink course that I have had to purchase range balls. The reception at the proshop is friendly and quick there were 3-4 people to help you check in. The driving range is quite large and there is a good size chipping green as well. The holes are varied and challenging. As for the condition of the course is is generally very good, The tee boxes are uneven and scarred ( lots of divots) the fairways are in very good condition BUT the rough NEEDS to be cut a little to save time as the ball would sink to the bottom , we found one by stepping on it a second by driving over it and two were never found. The sand in the bunkers were excellent. The 19th hole has either a large patio or a dining room with friendly staff and a varied menu. One issue that did upset me was on one hole as we were about to tee off a marshall(? ) who was checking the signs for a tournament behind us cut in front the proceeded to drive down the middle of the fairway instead of going to the side. My one piece of advise is to look for a discount as the full fare of $65.00 plus cart is a little high.
Hidden Lake New Course
Great ambience, peaceful but interesting and will return soon
Great summer ahead
given the recent weather conditions, the course is in great shape. There are very few wet patches, and the grass is VERY GREEN. The greens themselves could have used a cutting, as they were a little shaggy, almost carpet-like, but that can be easily remedied. I hoe that the early rain in the season translates into excellent summer conditions, and my gut tells me the staff at Hidden Lakes will come through.
Wet, Wet, and Wet
Thank goodness for GolfNow. We were 15 minutes before arriving at the course and we got a phone call from the course that due to heavy rainfall in the area during the previous day, carts would not be available for use. No problem. We had prepaid with cart and requested a discount for the game. Sorry, can't do that. Has to be done by GolfNow. We called GolfNow and they initially tried to find a course in the area at the same price that included a cart. We told them that would be impossible given the heavy rain issue. I asked them to call Hidden Lake to cancel the original booking and redo the booking without a cart. GolfNow called and "magically" got our original time with a reduced rate and an additional discount courtesy of GolfNow. Perfect. BTW, only a handful of golfers on course during the 4 hours played.
The weather forecast was NO RAIN but it rained during our game. Also, alot of wind. Holes #2 and 18 were soaked. 18 had a creek running through it where there was no creek before. Drainage was not great. Greens were in very good shape given that most are elevated.
There is a snack bar (and restroom facilities) at the turn to the back-nine. We felt sorry for the person as there weren't any golfers on the course to generate any revenue for her.
This is a very nice course that has a range and practice area around the two 18s (Old and New). I prefer the New.
It's worth an hours-drive to play here.
Fun course
The course was fun to play. It had a little bit of everything a novice golfer like me wanted. Challenging but not to challenging to make you want to throw your clubs in the water.
I would go back
Hidden Lake New Course
Good price for the value. In good shape considering winter just ended. Only area that wasn't up to snuff were the bunkers. But it probably needs some post winter maintenance

Always a great outing !!!
Hidden Lakes-Fall 2016
course in good shape for late fall golf, not overly busy. 18 holes in 4 hours exactly
Nice Course, but needs to be monitored better
Have played both courses often and like the courses. Has some nice challenging holes and is in decent shape despite the drought. Should be able to complete in 4 hours, but have found the marshall showing up on the 17th hole twice with slow pace of play. I get its the long weekend, but had 2 twosomes ahead of us and a very slow 4some (4 hits out of the sand is enough. Pick it up.) For the cost, they need to monitor the pace of play better. I think there are better deals out there unless you book on golf now, or under par in order to save. Halfway house was closed today also.
Great Course
Always a great place to play, greens and fairways are always well kept.
No complaints!
Better greens since club link took over as in green
Played this one many many years nice lay out has a few holes that will challenge you, never saw the greens at hidden lake so green and playable even the putting greens were top notch and rolling true. Hats off to the new superintendent. Ken Myers
