Fast greens. Good pace of play.
Greens were faster than last time I played. Wasn't over booked like most weekend courses which was nice.
Review
Fun course to play and fair. Long hitters paradise (played from the golds). Rough around the greens and fairways is thick, but don't complain if you lose your ball a few feet in off the fairway, otherwise the course will be to forgiving.The rough keeps us all in check.
Very scorable, fantastic semi private course. Will play here again for sure.
Open Course
Nice open course, enjoy playing. Outside staff a little old school... Probably could use some fresh blood.
Fun Day
Course was in good shape. Rough was very thick as course was set up for Southern Ontario Open,so keep the ball in the fairway.

Great course and no ostensible change in the staff since Clublink bought the facility
Unnecessary green & fairway cutting during round
The 1st nine holes, there were no flags in the greens, and no one working on them.. Very frustrating that you spend premium price for incompetence with maintenance crew. The rough was way too long, we lost balls two feet off fairway.. Ridiculous. They decided to cut this long grass and the grass was just all over the place.. Interfering with your lie and just walking through it. Absolutely no need to cut the grass and send us out with these fairway conditions.. We actually had one maintenance staff come over and apologize.. Obviously the Office / Pro Staff did NOT know the conditions.. Will not play here again!
a fair test
Played the course from the gold tee - 6500yds
The course is very generous off most of the tees - but the rough is penal - the greens have some slope to them so you do get to use your imagination! - some are very large so ay attention to the flags - red - white and blue- could be a difference of 3 clubs - very good par 5's - all in all a very fair test that is scorable
This course has nice greens and is challenging
The greens were in very good shape in contrast to 6-7 weeks ago. The fairways were great but the roughs were challenging due to the length and thickness of the grass. Enjoyed the course and time frame in which to complete the course (4 hours and 5 minutes). Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the afternoon.
Slow pace playing
We were only 2 people bit it took over 4hrs to complete. the group in front took long time to search for their balls each hole which wasn't right
The course is in rough shape
The greens and fairways and tees were not in very good shape
Keep the ball straight
Great condition, however the rough felt like I was in a US Open due to how thick it was. If you stay on the fairway you will have an enjoyable round.

Great speed of play and they course is great for all skill levels, I really like getting out there for twilight and consider this course to be tremendous value at all times of the day!!

Well maintained, few greens still not up to par. Great fairway, pace was perfect got out in 4h15 without rushing. Very nice place for the game,
Course in ok condition
Greens a little inconsistent and definitely needs to be aerated. There some spots on the fairway that need work but it was and great overall experience! Enjoy
Rate of Play!!!
All in all it was a fantastic round, however there was a foursome ahead of us who clearly knew nothing of golf etiquette. My group and I waited for at least 10 minutes on every hole from the 3rd - 10th, and not once did we see the warden. We tried calling the clubhouse to get something done but it was to no avail.
Would definitely play again, just hopefully rate of play is enforced better.
The course is in great condition
Unlike many courses this season, there is very little signs of winter kill or ice storm damage. The greens are in good shape and the fairways suffered little. Rough was long in some areas, but given the wet spring, it was to be expected. Didn't see a marshal, but play was 4 hours and wasn't necessary. Beverage cart came by 5 times.

Always a pleasure
Considering our spring the new course was in decent condition. Been coming off and on to both Hidden Lake course for many years. One thing you always know is that the service is going to be excellent.
No bang for the buck
At $60 for the round, I would expect much more. Nothing special at best. Local coarse in the near area are far better in every aspect for similar pricing. If you absolutely must, then maybe. I was bored, very bored. Played the new coarse.
Course in great shape for the winter we endured!
Hidden Lake (New) is in very decent shape considering the lengthy frost we had in these parts this winter. It will progress every week esp the greens. Good that a marshall was in evidence to keep things moving although four and a half hours seems to be par for the course in public golf.
Not sure how this course will do as a Clublink
acquisition because Clublink will do what it does-
block off tee times and jack up the prices. Pro Shop items are very nice and very pricey. I think Hidden Lake will lose some members over this change. But perhaps it will attract others.
For the money, it's not that interesting a golf course.
