Indian Wells Golf Club
About
With the towering cliffs of Mount Nemo on the Niagara Escarpment serving as a backdrop, Indian Wells Golf Club provides a scenic round of golf. Stretching along rolling terrain that offers views of the surround countryside, the front nine has ponds that come into play on six holes while the back nine features narrow fairways and dense forest. With a treacherous combination of water, ravines, and trees throughout, tight course management is top priority in scoring well. Indian Wells Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4 16th, which features a tough dogleg left that winds its way from an elevated tee through a forested valley and back up to a tricky elevated green.

Change for the worse
The course had no SIGN Identifiers for each holes layout as to tee to pin direction shape etc. The Course had changed as to tee positions distances and tee colours were green, orange blue and brown and green to brown were 100 yd plus difference NO WHITES . They jacked the prices $9.25 per can for a beverage $ 3.75 for a regular chocolate bar $7.50 for a hot dog little to no vegetarian options come on this is the 21 century?
Getting too pricey ! will think twice about returning.
Great Weather, Great Course!
Course was very busy due to the nice weather. Still finished in 4 hours. Course was in very good shape. Always a great day of golf at Indian Wells.
Great Day of Golf
Always enjoy playing at Indian Wells, finished in 3 hours!!
Excellent Value for money
Had a good time.
Course was well maintained and friendly staff . Hughly rwcommended.
Great Day, except......
I always enjoy playing Indian Wells. Unfortunately today, I was stuck with the most obnoxious, narcissistic non stop talker I have ever encountered on a golf course in the 47 years I have been playing this great game.. Other than that a great day of golf.
Tuff Unforgiving
Forgetting about the normal hazards, this is not a course for a handicap of more then +10. As the elevations and valleys along with the green undulation will add another 10-15 strokes if your not careful.
I played here once back in the start of the season. In a couple holes I was soon reminded that my skills are not at this level of a course.
See you in 5 yrs, maybe.
5 1/2 hour round - Tooooo SLOW!!!!
I've played this course numerous times in the past 5 yrs and I've never experienced such a ridiculously slow round. Spoke with the Marshall however, the pace of play DID NOT improve. After paying $82+ for a round I was not about to walk off but, momentum is a key fact for a successful round. TERRIBLE DAY!!
Slice of heaven
Indian Wells is tucked next to the escarpment. The views are spectacular. The course offers lots of planning and strategy. Bring extra balls.
Several long holes and ery challenging short ones. Staff very nice.excellent practise areas.
Scenic
The escarpment background and the mature trees were what did it for me. The course layout was enough to challenge the amateur golfer. The rate is fair. I would go again.
excellant pace to play
Somehow not many people on the field,we had been an excellent pace to play. Also, thanks Mr.D.Reeves for very kindly treated us,he is one of the staff in pro shop
Scenic but put the driver away
This course is short and the fairways are all split into two pieces to force you to lay up. The tips are 6200 yards and I could only use my driver on 4 or 5 holes. From the tips most shots are 250 yards to the end of the fairway leaving you 100-150 in. It’s very narrow so you have to be precise with your shot placements. The 16th hole is such a sharp dog leg you have to be in the last 20 yards of the fairway to get a glimpse of the 30’ elevated green.
The greens are slow and not many people fix their ball marks. The cups didn’t look like they had been cut fresh that morning. Very shaggy edges.
It’s a beautiful course in a scenic area but I’m not interested in playing an iron off the tee 75% of the time.
Beautifull gol course
I usually don't write reviews but this course is set in the Niagara escarpment with breath taking views every hole is a new and unique adventure I think I have found a new top 3 golf course in my Book.
Early Morning Round
Got to course 1/2 hour before tee time. Pro Shop warned of bad weather coming and gave me option to play or not and said rain check can be discussed if necessary. They let me go right away as golfers ahead of me were waiting to see what the weather did. Got rained on for a hole or two but finished in under 3 hours. I will keep coming back until I can beat this course! Which means breaking 90 in my case. Always a great experience at Indian Wells
Return to Indian Wells
We used to play here a lot when I was learning to golf 25 years ago. Glad to see the course is is great shape. We are going back this week!
