Tyandaga Golf Course
About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Nice course with interesting variation of holes
Played here twice now.
Overall I really enjoy it.
The 2nd and 18th have been modified (I assume temporarily but not sure) which makes the 2nd a rather dull hole but the rest is very good. Some very different holes. There’s a run of 3 par 3 holes in a row which I found quite cool to play.
The greens play pretty fast but they play true so even for a high handicapper, it’s readable.
I think they probably need to add 2 minutes to the gap between tee times though. I’ve never managed to play 18 in less than 4.5 hours and my friends and I play ‘ready golf’ with max 60 seconds to look for a ball.
Great Municipal Course
I was pleasantly surprised with the condition and layout of this course. Burlington is doing it right. There is a weird punching of par 3s at some points but that comes with the territory. I especially fell in love with the 17th hole. A narrow fairway with a dog leg left surrounded by trees, extremely beautiful. I recommend everyone plays this course atleast once.
Municipal Course
Last time I played was pre-covid. Two par 4's were now par 3's.
Still have great greens and in great shape!!!!!
Terrible tee boxes for reds either on a slant, bumpy or blocks stuck somewhere out in the grass
Tyendaga
Not bad for the money. Needs some work done. Greens are inconsistent. and tee blocks are awful.
reasonable price and not too difficult , exactly as a municipal course should be .
Nice challenging layout
But they have changed some holes. The GPS did not recognize it. And what the heck with those 6 PAR 3s??? Nevertheless, they were tough ones.
Terrible
Was a member for 20 years.
The course has been ruined
It was good in the 80s and 90s
It's sad how bad it is now
Stay away!
Tyendaga
Tees in rough shape. The rough needed cut. Could level cart areas. Short course.
Great little course
It’s a great course and makes you thing about every shot. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the marshal was very helpful to get us ahead of 3 slow groups waiting to tee off.
Bit of a let down
I've played here a couple times over the years, but haven't been out for at least two seasons, and in that time, the course has fallen into a bit of disrepair. No shame directed at the grounds crew - I'm sure it's more likely chalked up to less municipal funding than it is the staff not caring! The greens were in great condition, the tee boxes as well, but the native areas have become overgrown, the fairways are patchy, and the cart paths are just brutal. Pace of play wasn't great, 18 holes with a cart took about 4.5 hours. Love the hole layouts, and the staff were excellent, but would find it hard to pay for a round here again!
