About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Big Changes at Course
The last time I played Tyandaga was over 20 years ago. A lot of positive changes.
Challenging
Lots of hills and narrow which makes it challenging but over its maintained very well and the challenge makes it fun to play
Overbooked & Extremely Slow
Unfortunately, the starter allowed 2 player groups which caused a lot of congestion. Multiple groups were waiting on each tee block.
Tyandaga Hot Deal again
This is the best value in the west end. And it is not an easy track. The first two holes are tough demanding accurate tee shots and approaches. The greens can be very challenging depending on where the pin is. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge at a good price. The staff were great. The group behind us was a little loud and drunk/high, but they were nice enough. I would say they just need a marshal out there keeping the pace of play and etiquette in check.
Tee times
Almost daily there are numerous “No shows”. The tee sheet appears to be fully booked only to find many people do not show up or cancel their reservations ahead of time. For that reason there are many days when I can’t play because of the booking system. There is no penalty for the people who do not show up. This also results in a revenue loss to the club.

Hidden Gem
Lovely, quite tight course. Signage from green to next tee needs to be improved. In good shape with quite fast greens. Lots of up / Downhill lies. Staff very helpful. A moderate # of newish golfers so pace was a little slow. Despite the above comments, I hope to play it again.

Great course, challenging enough for all to enjoy.
Only thing I would improve is that the greens were slow and not trimmed for weekend golf, and the rough was pretty thick, not too ideal for the average golfer. Otherwise fantastic.....

Horrible management
One starter in specific, if you have the misfortune to encounter him while playing him giving you a hard time is as certain as the sun raising tomorrow.

Screwed up course
The old course was a treat to play but they have change this course too much par 4 to par 3 just because some one buys a house on a golf course and then complains about balls in the yard it was a nice course
