Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Easy birdie putt Photo submitted by ttaxmaster on 06/12/2014
Great course setup, poor management, terrible pace of play
We teed off at noon and finished at 5:30. Horrible pace of play
This course has a great layout but it’s been poorly managed for years. It needs some serious attention with the bunkers and greens.
The staff do their best with what they have but it just isn’t enough to overcome the lack of money spent getting the course into better shape. Truly disappointing. Allen residents have the money to afford higher fees for a better course. Unfortunately this place has become a joke to the guys who actually play golf
Staff was not up to par
Staff over booked the course. Tee time was 45min/1hr delay, no carts available. Starter abandoned his post, it was a free for all on the 1st tee box and good luck finishing under 5+ hours.
Worked us in
I made an error in my t time, thought we had a 11:48,, was actually 10:48, so missed our time, they were super nice and worked us in.
Good course
Greens are all in really good shape, rolled true and good speed.
Fun course to score well
Course is in great condition, greens run fast. Pace of play was good even with a mini tournament going on.
Aint That Great For The Price
If you're looking for great facilities, and a well-kept course, don't go there. The course is adequate for a weekend golfing experience, but it is way overpriced for the condition the course is kept in. And if you have an allergy towards slow play that's tolerated, you really won't like the place at all. Our round took 5 hours and 20 minutes, and no course Marshall in sight.
Round took over 5-hrs. Two 4-some in front of our 4-some.. waited on every hole from start to finish. They left glove on 1-hole & golf club on another hole. Both 4-some not really golfers. Played from blues & should played from reds!
I hate waiting on every hole. By end of round we were fried!
Weeds! Slow Play! No bunkers!
The number of weeds on an off the course is simply depressing and and confirmation that Arcis takes little care for this course. Had it not rained heavily a few days before after a three-week drought, I would be complaining about the many dry spots on the fairways. But, those were covered up by the newly-form ditches filled with water that were created carts tearing across them minutes after the rain had ceased. Arcis does not let an hour or day to pass without putting players on the course, even when standing lakes of water remain after a rain.
The staff seemed more interested in chatting up the cart girl than waiting on customers. Our carts was in terrible shape - low battery, iffy brakes and water everywhere after they cleaned it.
Here are some easy things that can be fixed:
1. Put ropes up to block carts from going over patches that need healing.
2. Put down green colored weed killer.
3. Put down a pre-emergent.
4. Instruct the staff to focus on customers.
5. Provide maintenance to the carts.
6. Enforce the collared shirt and no jean cutoffs policy
7. Close the course for at least one day after a heave rain, and use that time to maintain the course beyond just mowing it.
8. Put a marshal on the course during the weekends
