Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Another good golf course screwed by Arcis
Sadly all they care is about money, they don't invest any money on the golf course. They don't even have a starter so people do whatever they want. You have 4somes that split into 2somes every time. Instead of having people group together you always have delays and have to wait on every hole. You could have 2 groups of 4, but then you find 4 groups of 2. They need to fix the bunkers, and do something about all the weeds all over the place. Is a nice course but poorly managed.
Twin Creeks
What a difference 7 days (played here last Monday) and a weather system can do to a course. With the large amount of rain we received, the course was cart path only. I think Allen was hit hard by the rain and the course showed it. A few bunkers are completely washed out and debris needs to be cleaned off course. I really enjoy rounds of golf here, but maybe wait a few days for the grounds crew to clean up.
Unplayable
Twin Creeks normally is a great value for the money. Layout is fun and pace of play is under four hours. Course got hammered with storms and flooding the night before / Sunday morning . Causal water everywhere in fairways, bunkers flooded. Debris from the flooded creeks in many spots. Front 9 was closed. Not disclosed at the time of securing the tee time, which was 2 hrs before playing. Course was unplayable and should have been closed for the day. Very dissatisfied with the lack of transparency, conditions should have been disclosed on GolfNow.com.
Twin Creeks
Twin Creeks is overall in good shape. The greens were aerated a few weeks back, but are in decent shape. Only complaint would be that some of the bunkers need to be raked. I understand new guidelines not having rakes on the course, but some attention from the grounds crew would wonders. Its always an enjoyable time at Twin Creeks.
Slow Pace of Play on a Beautiful Day
This course could benefit from having a starting Marshall. It was backed up from the very first hole. Each tee box would be at least a 10 minute wait to hit. Then it would be more waiting for the second shot and so on. Even though the pace was very slow, we still finished in 4 hours miraculously. Also there was a golf cart girl but make sure if you want something you get it because it’ll be the only time you see her. Maybe she was the only one on the course but they could definitely use another. Other than that the course is challenging and well maintained. Not to mention the price is very reasonable.
Good layout
Good layout with plenty of challenges for all handicaps
Welcome to Texas
Just moved from NJ to TX. This was my first game in TX and had not played for a while. Got a 6:45am tee time on Golfnow. I could not believe people tee’d off before this as it was still dark, dedication! The course has a great layout with lots of water. Greens are undulating and you always have a tricky putt. The greens looked like they had been aerated recently so were a little bumpy, but not too bad
Pro shop were friendly as was the cart man.
Pace of play was awesome. Not much over 3 hours for the round as a 2 ball. Overall Great morning and value for money. Will be playing here again.
First time playing this course. Very well kept. Greens are good. Pace of play is slow and no Marshall around. Other than that it’s a nice course.
