Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Great Condition
Haven't played this course in awhile and wanted to get a twilight in before a softball game. My buddy and I started at 5:45 and got through 11 holes by 7:30 before we had to leave. Had to wait behind a dad and his young daughter for a hole or two, but when they realized we were behind them they let us play through. Great price at $19 each! The Tee boxes and fairways were amazing, green and lush, not full of hard dirt like other courses in the area. The greens were soft and smooth, and ran slow, not bumpy and un-kept like other places I've played recently. I will definitely be coming back soon to get a full 18 in
Ground Under Repair
When i saw the reviews, i thought perhaps they were old and the course was fixed but no, the greens are all but 2 (i recall) bald spots, bumpy, and some litterally under repair as of 5-2016.
I was surprised as they are charging rates as if the course is in good\excellent condition.
Average Course
The greens had quite a few Sandy patches on them. However some greens were perfectly smooth and puttable. I played on a day in which it rained significantly the day before, thus it was wet but not overly wet. The bunkers all had puddles in them which is expected after the amount of rain that we had received.
Good Day at the course
Excellent day, played at the course with pace and a friendly company, some greens are coming back after the storms.
no scorecards, not a lot of yardage markers found. 150 stake, 100 and 200 hard to find.
course can be good if the little details are fixed.
yardage is so easy to update so players can find distances easily.
scorecards - duh.
if greens are damaged replace the spots with new sod. charging a little more is ok just fix the greens. some look nioce but need to be pressed and firmed up so they roll faster.
Saturday
Everything was positive except for the greens being very poor on the back 9 and the fact our group of 3 was in front of multiple 2's. We were constantly letting people play through. The course was great besides that. Will be back.
Don't leave home to play this tract
Greens are in bad, bad shape. Pace of play was deplorable. They should have refunded my green fees!!
Lost Greens
Rating based on this round alone. Greens are terrible right now. Told that they had a "nematode issue". Sad, as they had redone them in the last few years. This is a solid layout by Palmer with a good clubhouse and friendly staff. If you value the entire playing experience, wait until the greens come back and then give it shot.
greens are in horrible condition
1 temporary green and all the other greens are extremely bumpy. So disappointed the in greens.
Skip this Course every time
They were not busy at all but the rate of play was a snails pace. No Marshall and no players seemed to care.
Several of the greens were in bad shape.
You can spend the same amount of Money for a better experience.
Twin Creeks
The course has a fairly straight forward layout with enough water to make it interesting. Some of the greens are in rough shape but I believe that is being managed. Most of the sand traps are in good condition as well as the tee boxes. Pace of play can be an issue depending on what day you go. Overall a decent value.
Blah Greens
My review would have been higher but the greens are in horrible condition. Not enough grass and too much compacted sand make for lumpy, bumpy putting. The layout is decent enough with quite a few fun, challenging holes and not too many meh holes. The check-in guy seemed like he was having a bad day or was thinking of better things to do. The cart lady was very nice though. The practice areas are decent and no mandatory use of mats on the range either. I would recommend this course only after they improve the greens.
Slow!
The pace of play is normally slow on this course but the last time I played was ridiculous! They had a teenage girls tournament or some type of event going on, they where walking the course. When I got to hole 7 there were 5 groups of foursomes waiting to tee off, I went ahead all the way to hole 10 but still no openings so I called it a day. I do like this course but Overcrowded sometimes.
Great value for money
Course is in nice shape; some greens are rough but being cultivated. Challenging but fun!
sins of omission
There are two things that should have happened that did not occur.
#1 No one informed us when we made reservations that there was a tournament in the morning of our round and we were an hour behind in starting.
#2 No one informed us that all 18 greens had been sanded due to either a fungus or disease. Could not putt on these.
We love the course but these two items should have been told to us prior to making a reservation and paying in advance.
