Mayfield Golf Club - White

Our daughter, Sarah, decided to try golf lessons this year and we had an amazing experience with Chris and all of the golf instructors on his team. I was repeatedly impressed by the professionalism of each of the instructors and how good they were with the children. I have no doubt the school runs as smoothly as it does due to the thoughtful and disciplined leadership skills that Chris consistently demonstrates.

As we all know, this year has been incredibly hot. However, each and every week, Sarah was eager to go and the team of instructors were positive, encouraging and upbeat - despite the heat. When I asked Sarah about her golf lessons she said "I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it. I liked everything!"

Thank you to the instructors, Chris and Mayfield Golf Course for a fun-filled year for Sarah. See you next year!

Have played here several times and have enjoyed each round. Great staff, very pleasant. The course is dry like most, greens are in good shape.

Course is not maintained at all.

No carts for drinks.

Greens and fairways are in horrible condition.

Not watered at all. Dead grass everywhere.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

A 27 holes course, with White, Red and Blue 9s. last holes in White and a couple of holes in Red are a bit challenging. Otherwise the course is friendly and fairly easy for beginners. I play this course whenever i need to boost my confidence as I score much less, sometime even under 80.

Inspite of the weather the course is fine as all T areas and greens are very well maintained.

With the dry weather we're having the tee's and greens were nice to play on.

We played the White & Blue 9's. White course I believe was a bit older, the last few holes had some water and and were tree lined. The Blue course seemed, some elevation with some water and many ditches. On this course it was posted where the fairway ran out into the ditch, very helpful! Overall I found it to be fairly easy but not without some decent challenge here and there, made for a great after work round, as started around 6 pm and were behind a couple groups but still finished before the horn at 8:55.

Our foursome was going at a reasonable pace but we were told by an overzealous marshal twice to keep pace with those in front of us. The problem is that those in front of us was a twosome and threesome respectively. First time we have that experience at Mayfield. Prior ones were great.

Don't trust the starter as to which course to play for your first or second nine. They will tell you pace is fast when it's not.

We wished they would use a marshal. I know it's a cheap public course but cant' they at least try to monitor pace of play?

It seems like people regard this as one of those courses where it's okay for beginners to play that have no golf etiquette. Kinda like how I regard Streetsville Glen. A place to take my wife to play with no regard to any one else on the course.

If you aren't on a budget, play elsewhere.

Love this course, the layout is friendly an the greens are great. They have 3 courses, red, white and blue. I believe on the red course some of the signs were missing at the hole which made for slight confusion but they do have traffic direction signs to the hole, so make sure you have the scorecard! (A very nice quality scorecard btw) Staff seems very friendly and helpful. Im defenitley reccomending this course to my friends. Thats for a great golf experience Mayfield.

Decent course , not overly difficult, well maintained, lots of straight holes with some more intreresting back nine holes. Good price if going thru golfnow or a discount deal, would not pay full normal rates for this course. Not to busy ,but it was a Mon. afternoon , this course tends to get overbooked at peak times so beware. Overall good day.

Nice people, and the course is in great shape.

The course itself is mostly flat, with only a few truly interesting or difficult holes.

Good start of the season practice course

It was a nice course, but the pace o play was slow today.

Fairways and greens were very well maintained. It was my first time playing here and for the money it was a great course. Very open and lots of room for error if your a below to average player. This course not for pro's.

My only negative feedback is two of the 9 holes at the Blue course were extremely difficult to find as cart path was not clear. Also beer cart has not started yet as they wait till July. Besides this, I will be returning for another round of golf here.

For the price this course does the job.

I enjoy that it has three different 9's. This was you aren't playing the same 18 over and over again, which is good on this course as it isn't particularly challenging.

This is my go to course when I decide last minute to squeeze a round in.

Most times the course is in ok shape. I played last night and the greens on the front 9 were awful though. The ball bouncing everywhere, but the back 9 they were great.

One thing I will warn of; they seem to have issues with golfnow app bookings. Pretty much every time I go there after booking via golfnow they try to charge me more. Now the staff is great and always correct this once I explain the situation. But it is a bit frustrating to have to go through that each time. I hope they figure that out soon.

Last night it was meant to be $30 cart included. When I got there however they wanted to charge me $30 and then $10 or $12 for the cart. I had my golfnow receipt. I suggest taking a few screenshots of the booking and how it shows up on golfnow if you are booking it that way just to be safe.

It's not going to be the best course you have ever played, but if you just feel like getting and and swinging the clubs without forking out the big bucks for a super challenging course, this one is perfect.

This course has 3 - 9hole courses.... all 3 are fine, nothing crazy, I think I like the red course the least. There is some slight elevation changes, and some unique tee shots. For a good rate this course is worth it.... at full rate, I think you can do better!

We got stuck behind some slow groups which killed the front 9 for us but it opened up on the back...

Mayfield GC was in great shape. The course was busy, but the pace of play was very good. Although very hot when we played (33 degrees Celsus) there was a slight breeze,. The only negative comment that I would make is that there was no one with a refreshment cart circulating when we played (5.5 hours over 18 holes).

Decent for the price. Super slow 5 hour round on a Wednesday afternoon...

Awesome course. This is a course I regularly go to and I enjoy it very much. The staff are always nice and outgoing. The course difficulty can very depending on which 9 holes you are playing for the day. Prices can very but for the most part they are well below average for a course like this. Overall I recommend Mayfield to everyone I meet.

Nice course good for beginners

The course is playing well. Except for the slow pace enjoyed the round of golf.

It would be nice if the red, blue or white markers are there on every tee. I got lost on few holes as to where is the next tee.
