Great old style course
Beautiful layout, great old style course, never disappoints, wet but that was due to weather early in the week.
Simple track, done well
simple lay out, pretty straight and not too long. Course was very wet but they'd had a lot of rain, was in good condition considering. Practice facilities are brilliant, staff very friendly. Quite a simple course for higher handicappers to get some success around.
Swamp Course
We played on April 15th, THE COURSE SHOULD NOT BE OPEN. It's an absolute swamp. Every shot plugged in the mud and my feet were completely soaked. This course is open too early and it's far too wet. We were hitting out of puddles and even when we hit our shots in the middle of the fairway, they all plugged in the mud. I've play this course probably 20 times and normally like it, but I've never played it this early in the year. DON"T GO TILL IT DRYS OUT, IT"S BRUTAL NOW.
WHAT AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY !!
Was too wet to be allowed on . They should have know better . All they wanted was money.
Pace of play?
I played on a day where the pin position was set in the "extreme" position. They were a bit ridiculous but still fun. That wasn't the issue. The issue was with pace of play. It took my group (of 2) 3 hours to play 9 holes. The 2 groups in front of us showed 0 regard for the people behind them. I was looking forward to playing 18 different holes that day but had to settle for replaying the front 9. Which we played in just under an hour and a half.
Good Value
Course in very good shape, not the longest but we played from the whites. Greens are tricky and that balances out the yardage. Good overall rack for the price.
Greens were in good shape, but the fairways were inconsistent and chewed up.
Good value on Golfnow for $33 including cart.
Greens putted well. The fairways however were inconsistent in length and firmness. They also appear to have raccoon problems as 6-8 fairways were dug up.
Overall a decent golf experience.
Have to go back.
Excellent course, beautifully maintained. The holes are mostly straight with varying trouble on both sides of fairways. Greens can be tricky to read but are in excellent shape.
Great Course
We found the course conditions to be in excellent shape in particular with the dry and hot conditions this summer. Best condition of any course I have played this summer.
Worth the drive
Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Course in excellent condition. Staff helpful and friendly. Would return
Men's Leagues/booking issues
We loved the course conditions. Probably best condition I've played on all season even with lack of rain that we've had. Fun stops there. There are men's leagues going on pretty much every other day and we got teed off on the back nine...we flew through the back nine in just over an hour and after that the front nine was a nightmare. 3.5 hours later we finished the front nine. I'm not sure why they do that, as they should have simply said tee off before the men's league goes off or book a later time or different day altogether.
Pleasant experience, despite the weather
This course was in very good condition considering the lack of rain this summer.
The course is relatively flat, most holes are straight, and the course length is comfortable for the average high handicap golfer. It is an easy course compared to some that I have played (with similar course ratings and slope ratings).
The greens are in good condition, and consistent in speed. There are a few greens with moderate slopes but they are not too difficult for an average golfer to read.
It was a stormy day, with intermittent thunder showers, so there were not many players out. We had to break after 9 because of lightning in the area, so we took in a lunch in the clubhouse. The menu is quite varied and very reasonably priced, the food is good.
Staff were friendly, we were allowed to park our cart inside a shed during the rainstorm.
Our total playing time was less than 3 hours for 18 holes.
I would definitely recommend this course for the average golfer, though it may not be challenging enough for the big hitters and low handicappers.
great shape
I've played at a lot of area courses this year, and this one by far is in the best condition. The entire course including greens, fairways and tee blocks are lush and green, making play very enjoyable without injuring yourself hitting cement-like dirt
In good condition for the lack of rain
This was my first time playing the course I popped out of work for a round because the weather was amazing. I got teamed up with the great guys and we had a good round. The course is in pretty good shape and at least the greens stuck most of our shots. I would recommend this course to any level of golfer. The staff was great, rate of play a little slow but not enraging. I would definitely play again.
Great Golf Course
Great golf course! Will definitely go again!
