Pleasant experience, despite the weather
This course was in very good condition considering the lack of rain this summer.
The course is relatively flat, most holes are straight, and the course length is comfortable for the average high handicap golfer. It is an easy course compared to some that I have played (with similar course ratings and slope ratings).
The greens are in good condition, and consistent in speed. There are a few greens with moderate slopes but they are not too difficult for an average golfer to read.
It was a stormy day, with intermittent thunder showers, so there were not many players out. We had to break after 9 because of lightning in the area, so we took in a lunch in the clubhouse. The menu is quite varied and very reasonably priced, the food is good.
Staff were friendly, we were allowed to park our cart inside a shed during the rainstorm.
Our total playing time was less than 3 hours for 18 holes.
I would definitely recommend this course for the average golfer, though it may not be challenging enough for the big hitters and low handicappers.
great shape
I've played at a lot of area courses this year, and this one by far is in the best condition. The entire course including greens, fairways and tee blocks are lush and green, making play very enjoyable without injuring yourself hitting cement-like dirt
In good condition for the lack of rain
This was my first time playing the course I popped out of work for a round because the weather was amazing. I got teamed up with the great guys and we had a good round. The course is in pretty good shape and at least the greens stuck most of our shots. I would recommend this course to any level of golfer. The staff was great, rate of play a little slow but not enraging. I would definitely play again.
Great Golf Course
Great golf course! Will definitely go again!
Gathering areas for most greens
Most greens have a closely mowed area in front of the green, which may stretch back to 50 yards from the center of the green. Have an alternate strategy ready if your pitching is having trouble.
enjoyed playing the course
I havent played this course for 10-12 yrs. and found it quite enjoyable. The staff were very conscious of giving good value, charging me 44.00 instead of the 51 i would have paid for with golfnow., ie : they gave me the Fri. aft. rate, which is appreciated
A fun layout
Enjoyed the course, conditions are good, layout was fun and interesting. A lot of tee options for all players and pace of play was fine. With that in mind, my only concern, we had a new golfer with us who struggled a bit at the start, we let a twosome go through on the 2nd tee and then got a warning on mid 3rd hole stating that we were holding up the entire course?? A little early for that - we played in 4:15.
Good Value
Good pace. Course in good condition. Price on a Hot Deal which was great. Course is long with good variety of holes. Par 3's good distance. Fun to play. Driver got a good workout!
Nice course, pretty basic, good condition
A friend came for the 1s time and liked it a lot. Tight and sloping fairways with big greens. Can be quite challenging if you're not in the right spot off the tee, A few times I was just off the fairway but had a tree blocking my approach. You have to be in the middle.
Greens were abit slow but in great shape.
Challenging
The hole locations made for a few difficult approach shots. If you missed your spot it was easy to lose some stokes on the greens. Nice challenge. I would golf here again
Good hidden gem
This course will challenge every level of player. Don't let the length fool you. The par 4's play tough.
Good spring round
Great day ... off quick ... one par 5 pin placement rough ....just unfair... otherwise great course !
thanks for the great day !

First time but not the last
After driving past this course several times I decided to play it. Starting with the friendly shop staff to the on course marshall it was a very pleasant experience.
A nice layout that challenges all players.
november amazment
Great day out in November on well maintained course. no real trouble to get into. greens were good ,fairways excellent no leaves. course was very busy as everyone was out trying to get the last beautiful day in. no waiting for hours at tee offs as everyone moved along.
cart was little sluggish but management are replacing carts over winter.
would play this course again
Play was to slow, 3 hrs. for front nine.
Was behind a tourney [shotgun] called Nip and Tuck. Several players behind tourney were not told the pins would be illegal[2ft from fringe on down slope] Every putt from the tourney players would take 10 minutes to play causing course to back up. Could not finish round do too darkness.
Modest course
It was my very first time to play here, but I felt comfortable all along. Fallen leaves, as anywhere else, tried to hide my ball and waste my time, but the fairways more than anything else were in a very good condition. It's not a fancy course, but a very approachable and friendly one, definitely.
New find
Enjoyed the golf experience. Fair distances and many tough greens.
it's worth the drive
Good course but not your top tier.
I likes it so much I came back a week later.
Its a 60 km drive for me.
Not overly difficult.
Great condition.
Not too many hazards, although a few holes are a bit tight.
Played Sunday afternoon.
Not many people so pace of play is excellent.
Some tricky holes forcing you to play smart golf
Lots of character with just enough trouble to keep you honest - certainly enough challenge for your average golfer. I loved the 16th hole but only because I played it well - could be a "signature" hole.
Cambridge golf
a very nice course, well manicured, basically straight up and down fairays no heavy doglegs very few bunkers, this course was made for fast play and minimal trouble.Good course for seniors and hi handicappers. Greens were excellent and challenging even though recently aerated and lots of rain.In drier conditions, greens would be a lot faster and extremely challenging. Overall, a good experience and a fun day, for a 116 slope from the blues course.
