They want you back
Course in good condition; greens were rolling well with decent speed and my pet peeve, the bunkers were all raked and playable.
Firm Test
This was the second time playing this course and you can tell they put money into the maintenance of it. It was well manicured and probably some of the fastest greens I have played in a long time, which I really enjoy the test not just on the greens but with your approach shots you had to allow a little more roll out than normal. Definitely not the longest course out there so if you hit a pretty good driver you will find yourself with a wedge or short irons into greens, that's if your OK taking on the trouble, otherwise leave the big dog in the bag and hit woods or hybreds all day into the generous fairways.
Solid design
Nothing spectacular about the course, just a very nice layout with mature trees and excellent greens - large with more break than you see. Holes 4 and 16 were my favourites.
Play was okay
Fun course that is very challenging. Greens are extremely fast when dry. But I did feel rushed the whole time right from the beginning.
Good test of golf
Not the most scenic course around, but a good test of golf. Greens were in good shape. Required a good variety of shots with some easy and hard holes. Good value for money.
Great driving range and practice area, best in Cambridge.
worth the drive to Clyde
4th time playing the course. Good test from the whites around 6000 yds. Course is in generally good shape especially the greens which are moderate to fast with some having severe slopes. Most greens especially on the backside are humunguous so there is a huge difference in distance from the red front pins to the back blues. Easily walkable since there is little elevation change. Nice practice facility.
Only quibble with the course is the back-to-back par 5's (#s 2 and 3) and the inconsistent bunkering.
nice , well maintained
Only if the only restroom on the golf course had running water, we past the frost time in Ontario !!!!!
Over all we had nice afternoon round, greens were rolling good some bald spots here and there lacking grass on fairways , will play again for decent price on golf now!
Greens or Bunkers?
I would have really appreciated a heads up by either golfnow or the course upon arrival that the greens were being aerated and sanded. Many of the greens were so freshly sanded (piles of sand) that they were unputtable. I would have booked a different course had I known this was going to be the case.
great golf
Started our tee time around 230pm and was clear sailing until we caught up to the group ahead on the 3rd hole then became a bit of a waiting game=( And only seen the marshal once. golf itself was good teebox and fairways are in great shape and the greens were ok (not so green on some) played firm and quick on this day and also played true. we didn't eat there so not sure how the food is as for staff friendliness it was good i guess, we only spoke to one person who was the one in the pro shop. Overall great golf for all levels even greater golf if you can get a good deal through GN. i would recommend this course to all!
KCCO!
Nice Course
It was a perfect day for my first round of the year. The course was a nice layout and I would like to play it again when everything is green. Not overly long so driver isn't always needed. I look forward to playing the course again.
close to the city
fairly easy to play, with a few blind drives and a few bunkers, but no water comes in play
Good deal
Course was in pretty good shape for early in the season. Greens were great for being early as well. I enjoy playing here first each year to get back in the game. It's not too difficult but has it's challenges. It's peacefull here other than when the occasional train passes by.
