Dragon's Fire Golf Club

I've played this course a number of times, but never at regular price. I will continue to play it, but only when they have deals. Crosswinds is a better deal, IMHO. This is the reason for my 'fair' rating for value for the money.

By the time we reached the green it had started to rain, but once we putted out it really came down. We took cover in the trees and still needed the umbrella. 25 minutes later and a few claps of thunder and we were off again. It got very humid very quickly. The course drains fairly well compared to others in the area. The pace was really good the front 9 (2 hrs). But there was a 10 minute delay at the 10th tee. The back 9 took 2.5 hrs.

The course was in good shape. A pleasure to play... at a discount.

I know golf is popular but $125 for a public course with cart is just way too high.

We barely finished the first hole and then the skies opened up to very heavy rain. Half hour later we continued with our round. It was VERY humid for the remainder of the round. The pace for the front 9 went very well, but the back 9, not so much. The course is in good condition and drains very well, and the greens were rolling nicely. But too many golfers either don't like to repair their ball marks or forget.

Cleanness of washrooms well below par for cost to play

really shabby green conditions with players not repairing pitch/ball marks. Fixed at least 5 per hole and could have spent more time on it. Something the course needs to address with platers.

Great course. One of the best in southern Ontario. Highly recommended.

Dragon Fire is a hidden gem in the Burlington Cambridge area. It has a good practice area with driving range, chipping and putting area.

They have a cool canteen food area with a nice patio. Good beer and drink selection.

Course was in excellent condition. Soft but true greens but beware everything falls off the back.

This course would be so much nicer if players would actually do their part to take care of it. The greens today were firm and fast, but they weren't rolling true, because there are so many pitch marks and someone ahead of us was dragging thier feet all over the greens leaving scuffs etc.

Other than that the place is in pretty good shape and has a nice layout.

I didn't see any Dragons though. 😉

To start we had issues with the carts, both of them. The sole employee was unable to leave the pro-shop (understandably) so we had to return to get our own carts. The bunkers are NOT playable, at all. At $125, this is absolutely unacceptable. Although it rained the day before the course was bone dry and yet, it was STRICTLY enforced, cart path only?!?!? This contributed to exceptionally slow pace of play. In conjunction with the bunkers, I could not understand why were we charged full price to have cart path only? In-other-words, we did a LOT of walking. I simply cannot fathom how this course remotely got a 4+ rating? I'd call this course minimally maintained, at best. They obviously are trying to glean profits without reinvesting into the development of the experience for customers. First time, shame on you. There will be no second time for me/my guys.
