About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Nice Course
Nice Course, first time playing, quite a few holes leave the driver in the bag and use a fairway wood or long iron. If the ball goes in the long grass good luck finding it. Nice layout, good course would play it again.
Beautiful course
It rained the day before our round thus the course was extremely wet. Cart path only for carts and inches of rain everywhere. Had the course been dry it would have been great.
Typical cottage country course
Sadly, it was still quite wet, so maintenance had been delayed-- even the tees had not been cut. The greens were slow. Driving accuracy was important, but even moreso, the second shots had to be well positioned, as creeks and other areas of rough and swampy terrain came into play, well into the fairways. The fairways were often narrowed by trees I was amazed the Slope was so low, as it was a difficult course, especially on a windy day
Not for duffers
Lots or bush and long grass. Not for first timers. Good greens. Pace of play was very slow. I would play the course again but could not recommend it to the weekend golfer
Won’t be back.
Diasappointing. We arrived for a off 7:54 am tee off on a Sunday of a long weekend, only to to be told that the food and beverage staff would not be available until 10am and this no coffee was available. The halfway hour was still not open when we made the turn and there were no options until we were on the 16 hole and were met by the cart girl at 11:05am. At $105 per round, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be able to grab a coffee and a small bite before you tee off in the morning.
Tight fairways
You don’t want to be left or right of the fairway. Challenging but fair golf course.

Lack of communication about course condition prior to booking. Course was being aerated while we were playing. Course should have been discounted to reflect the course. I have played this course many times and usually enjoy it, but not today.
Great conditions and layoit
Cranberry conditions are best ever. House more visible the. Before but still a great track. Very challenging front nine but feel good after easier back 9
Berry fine golf
The course was in great shape, the staff were friendly, the weather perfect, my game mediocre. Will choose to play it again asap.
Tight but fair
This is one of Thomas McBrooms early courses. It's mature and a true test of golf. There are plenty of tee decks to suit all levels of play. You owe it to yourself to test your skill on this layout.
Great Layout, poor amenities
The course is very interesting with a great layout and it's challenging. The course is also in excellent condition. That said, I don't ever recall arriving at a golf course at 8am ... unable to buy a coffee. I passed a few Starbucks and Tim's on the way ... at about 7:30 am, thinking that I'd buy coffee at the course (I.e. Buy local). When I asked about clubhouse coffee in the pro shop the guy looked at me like I was green. He told me they don't open the clubhouse till around 10:30. There's a first for everything.
Hidden gem
Despite being a resort course this is a great layout and challenge for the mid to low handicapper. Always in excellent condition , shame they jacked up the green fees or I’d play it more often.
