Cranberry Golf Course
About
Cranberry Golf Course was carved from the picturesque landscape of southern Georgian Bay and has the distinction of being Canada’s first Audubon Society-certified golf course. There is some slight undulation in the bent grass fairways but overall the terrain is flat, making it accessible for beginners since there are no dramatic elevation changes or severely uneven lies. The front nine has numerous water hazards and plays a bit longer than the back nine due to a handful of lengthy par 5s. Cranberry Golf Course's back nine plays shorter and dryer but there are difficult doglegs and several large, strategically placed sand traps. There are also grass bunkers and contouring around the greens for added challenge.

Great Golf
Nice to meander through the course without having to worry about spraying the ball into another fairway. All holes are private. Incredible shape and will definitely return as the value is there and the service is family like. Great f and b too overlooking the course!
Course is well improved.
Played this course 5-6 years ago and was not overly impressed. However, after my round yesterday my impression has greatly been elevated. The course was in great shape with some very wet areas. The greens held well and rolled well.
Left the course wanting to return soon.
Great day.
pace of play
Very bad pace of play 51/2 hours -6 hours to long for 18 holes. need to space out more between golfers or book less people
Bang for buck!!
We try and play this track whenever we're in the area. Always an excellent round and 4 hrs well spent! Beautiful layout and makes you use every club in the bag. The 19th hole should be added to every course, and watching from the deck rocks. Highly recommend this course!
Nice course
Played this course while still under spring maintenance. Can tell that during the summer would play a lot harder when the warmer season arrives. The greens has some challenging undulations. Will need to play the course again to see if the value was worth it.
Great shape for opening week
Always enjoy playing Cranberry. Challenging but fair. Will play it many more times
Early in the year!
Some construction around the gold shop but it didn't have anything to do with the course. New parking lot.
Course was in good condition for an early round. Greens were true but a tad slow. Otherwise all was great.
Opening Day
Rained 40 mm the night before, but the opening day was still great! Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in very good shape. Shot bogey golf in cool 7 C, light rain....still worth the time and effort.
Flat but very challenging
Cranberry is a flat layout but length, trees, water and wind make it very challenging. Low handicap players will find Cranberry hard, high handicap players could get frustrated. My friend and I, both sub 80 golfers liked Cranberry and will play it again soon.
Storm Cleanup
The area had experienced a minor tornado two days before, and the course was closed to prior day for cleanup. Cleanup continued. With the closure there was a lot of catch-up play the day we played. As a result play was slower than expected. Course was in remarkably good shape, and workers kept out of your was as much as possible.
Interesting test in a beautiful setting
Definitely a shotmaker's course, the golf course at Cranberry Course will test you. Although it's just 6,600 yards, it actually feels like it plays much longer since most of the par 4s have a good bit of length to them. Off the tee, you have to be accurate as the tree-lined fairways aren't particularly wide. There are also a fair number of water hazards to contend with, and the views from a couple of the elevated tees are magnificent.
Cranberry golf resort
The staff was very friendly and attentive. The course is well maintained and the location of the flags were somewhat challenging. Looking forward to play it again.
Pleasant Suprise
Both my wife and I enjoyed the course. There was a fair amount of wait time, but surprisingly, we finished the round in 4 hours. The course was in great shape.
Very nice golf choice
I played this course twice during the weekdays this week when we were vacationing in Blue Mountain. Reservation were done using Golfnow and pretty straight forward. The price for two is reasonable and the course is in very good condition although there are some constructions near the course. First day, the course is a bit busy and the second day is quieter. We had a great time both days.
Slow pace
I found this course fine except for the slow play. I'm glad I paid through Golf now and received the Hot deal rate. Their regular rate a little pricey for the course.
Good resort course.
Extremely slow. There was a tournament & we had 4 guys in front of us who played slow. We were in a cart & took us 3.5 hrs to play 11 holes. We stooped at the 12th. Unfortunate.
A very good course for the money.
A moderately challenging, comfortable walking course. Good pace of play, slower on weekends. New paved cart paths are a plus. Reasonably well maintained, lack of rain and the heat this summer has dried out the off fairway areas. Very good value.
Really sorry to hear. I was working this day running voilunteer's and helping with the special olympics tournament. We did our best to send groups off ahead of this tournament to help with slow play. Was a marshal on the course to assist with this group in front? Wish i could have been more help. Usually our marshal do a great job with moving play. I hope you got a raincheck to come back for nine holes?
