Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club - Lakes/Hills
About
Tucked away in quiet Copetown, Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club offers 27 holes of championship golf. The club features three unique nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations, each of which offer plenty of variety from one another. Originally opened in 1961 under the name Windsor Park, the Hills and the Woods golf courses formed the original 18-hole course at Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club. The Lakes nine was added in 1994. When combined with the Hills nine, the two provide a challenging round with plenty of water and elevation changes. The landscape is covered with mature trees and abundant in native wildlife, giving golfers a scenic complement to their game.

Flamborough Hills
Very nice course..staff very friendly..will return
Nice to be back
Haven't played here in years but was pleasantly surprised by how mature it has become and it was in great shape. They also don't gouge you as much for beer as most other courses do in Ontario which makes it a little more enjoyable.
Will play again for sure.
Great Course
Played this course yesterday and what a great test of golf it was and the course is in beautiful shape. Nicest course we have played so far this year. We will be going back again.
Ian
Great track, horrifying food
Course was great, good pace and good price with golf now hot deal..... My playing partner and I purchased 2 hot dogs at 9, the nuns were so stale and the hot dogs were horrifying. Worst food I've ever had.
Course is challenging with helpful staff
we played Hills/Woods and we found the course a challenging but enjoyable course to play. The course was in good shape and now that we have played it we would have a better understanding of how to attack the holes for our next round. Staff was helpful and the food was standard fare but the dining room was very inviting & comfortable.
Would recommend others to choose Flamborough Hills as a nice choice for a day of golf.
not bad
Played for the first time. Lots of mature trees so no splay here. Decent price on golf now, course in not bad shape but green do have some dead areas.
Will play again
Excellant conditions aside from a few brown patches on the greens. The speed of the greens was excellant. T-boxes and fairways in good condition, electric carts. Challenging fairways and approaches. It helps to puck up the course description.
Food: I will try again. For now suggest that you stick to beverages.
Flamboroigh Hills/Woods Great Day
Course in excellent cond. overall and considering time of year. Few sand traps were compensated for by slope variance on all holes. Look forward to playing there again.
Fantastic course.
Great course, well kept,, staff is very friendly. Only hiccup to the whole day was having to wait 30 minutes for the food(sausages) we ordered between 9's.
Beautiful coarse
Best conditions I've ever play in November. Not one leaf one the fairways or greens
great november golf
Course was in great shape for november, greens were fast and in great shape, theonly complaint would be some debris on greens but not too bad.
Very nice
Great course, very well maintained, staff great, food excellent.
challenging...
We played the Lakes and then the Woods courses. The greens were challenging and the fairways were beautiful. Although it was quite cool out, the courses were in fabulous shape! We will definitely play this club again in the future!
A hidden gem!
Weather was horrible but this didn't stop my playing partner and I from enjoying this beautiful course. I wasn't expecting the mature tree lined fairways and rolling terrain. Frequent elevation changes made for challenging lies and club selection. Green were very wet but otherwise in great shape. Overall, I was so impressed I may get a membership there next year. Can't wait to try the Lakes course.
Catered to a tournament but was nice enough to give us a full 18 hole raincheck
I'm giving this course a "good review" to be fair but wanted to mention that they initially wanted us off by 12:45 pm, despite our prepaid Golfnow tee time at 10:30 am. I'm not sure how they expected us to finish 18 by then and they even said to come earlier, even though it was forecasting for heavy rains the morning (am).
So basically, by the time we finished the front 9 in just under two hours (there was a foursome ahead of us that was noticeably slow), the skies cleared up and the sun came out, which would've made for a much better back 9 round in terms of weather/conditions - however; because of the tournament, we had to leave!
So it definitely worked out for the tourney folks but not so much for the "Golfnow tourney" folks (my group; lol). Apparently at the last minute, some more folks had signed on for the tournament, hence why their 27 hole shot-gun start time got pushed to 1 pm
They were initially only going to give us a 9 hole rain check but we fought to make it 18; our reasoning was we came all the way from Toronto (so quite far) and also that it wasn't our fault that the tournament got pushed to 1 pm.
Had they not given us an 18 hole rain check, I definitely wouldn't have given this course a good review and that their customer service was pretty mediocre, borderline abysmal - but thanks to one of their staff who approved the 18 hole raincheck, I definitely can't say anything negative about this course at all! I just hope we're now able to play it again by the end of the season (when the raincheck expires), as one of the challenges with my group is we're now not as available as much compared to before!
Waiting on hole 4 8 am tee time 10 min wait a hole
Monday morning 8 am tee time we had to wait on hole 4 until we finished 18..... Will not play again 10 min wait on every hole badly managed course with three 9s there shouldn't be a wait on a Monday morning second tee time of day
excellent day
My second time playing this course and I left more impressed than after my first round. The grounds are in great shape and the course has many challenges. The elevated tee boxes make for beautiful 27 holes of golf. Will definitely be back.
Interesting course for all skill levels.
Really enjoyed this course. Tough but not overly punitive. Played Lakes then Hills. Only criticism is there is so much difference between the two nines due to the Lakes being more modern.
Great Challenge and Enjoyable
Course is in pristine condition, both fairways and greens, tee blocks ok. Hills to Woods plays just over 6,200 yds, with some long par 3's and 4's it was a challenge to score low 80's, I play several courses throughout the season, and this rates as top notch for playing condition and course difficulty.
Shame about the staff
Course is in excellent condition but the staff on when we arrived, were so miserable
