The rewards are great and Royal Woodbine's beautifully conditioned fairways and greens make this championship course a real pleasure to play. Just minutes from downtown Toronto on the Mimico Creek Valley, this is one of the area's treasures.

A shot-maker’s dream
Royal Woodbine is consistently in great shape, even at this early time of the season. Greens were smooth, with lots of diabolical pin placements - talk about Sunday pins! Thankfully the greens were slow enough to allow for early season putter jabs. The course is narrow in spots and promotes a great deal of decision making and shot selection - this isn’t a course were driver off the tee for 14 holes is the best play. A couple blind spots off the tee slows pace a little… but overall pace was good for a busy Sunday - clocked in 4:45
The only shortcoming for Royal Woodbine is the absence of amenities- very much a golf course first and foremost. They don’t even try to feel like a “club”.
Poor customer service
We were hounded by the Marshall to ‘hurry up’ even though we were at pace. The first time we said we were would accommodate but when he kept stalking us we told him that we have been keeping pace and he agreed. We finished the course in 4hrs.
