Gale force winds
Good track and enjoyed the day.
Staff seems to resent green-feerers and show too much preference to old members due to having to become public. Reception is very poor.
Made to feel like 2nd class.
Will return despite this as like the course.
Greens are brutal.
Good course
Played on a wet day so it was cart path only which is a pain but the course was in great shape. Always nice.
Timeless Layout
We routinely drive an hour for this course being one of my favourite Stanley Thompson design course; true old school classic that's uses all of your clubs in the bag.
Great value as well that includes a great/free practice facility and on site amenities.
Another enjoyable time.
Great greens
Cart staff were friendly, however the proshop was indifferent and we were treated like we weren't wanted there. Moved our 7:30 tee time to 8:00 and put 3 groups out ahead of us, then put a single walker ahead at 10 and a twosome between the foursome behind us.
Lovely course with tree lined fairways
We played on a record breaking heat wave for September, so we only played 9holes. But we enjoyed the course very much. Course was in great condition and greens were fast. Nice layout the starter was great and very helpful. Would play this course any time it was available. It was helpful we had no delays at the bridge.
Shoot a good score
Fairways and greens in excellent condition. If you are hitting the ball half decently you should be able to shoot a good score
A perfect Indian summer day
You could not have asking for a better day to play golf. The sun was out with a slight breeze, but very hot. The leaves have yet to turn colours & fall. This is a mature parkland course. If you hook or slice, watch out. Play a extra club on all the par 3s. Keep the ball below the holes as the greens are quick. The consistency of the sand traps vary. Some have very little sand and others have a lot of sand.
Exceptional
The only thing better than the starter , the ranger to the person running the kiosk is the course itself . A great golfing experience lies at Bridgewater.
No carts available for us but....
Upon arrival at 2:30pm for our 3:00pm tee time, we were informed that there were no carts available ( paid for them in our price) until 4:00pm. Smug pro shop employee mentioned that I didn't pay him after. I stated that I had paid for carts to be included and that I'd paid GOLFNOW. I had to ask for pull carts as he didn't think to offer them to us. I asked if they could bring a cart out to us when they became available and he assured me they would. As we played number 2, which heads back to the club house, we watched two groups tee off with carts. After we finished the 9th hole at approximately 5pm Iwithout a golf cart, I went back to the club house to find 10-15 carts. I can only assume that since this was a "hot deal" purchase, the club decided that we were low on their customer service priority list. Very unfortunate as the course is a nice track.
Bridgewater
Course is nice and most staff is great but the pro Rocco is very arrogant and it seems that your bothering him when you come in.
Excellent fair but challenging
Great course, great staff and over all a great fun filled afternoon
Good deal with Golfnow
Course is in perfect condition. Fast greens.Recent heavy rain left lots of standing water ...but no real issues
Course good, staff terrible
IF course is looking for members, forget it, most unfriendly staff I have ever met working in the club house.
Slick
Played just after the Club Championship so some difficult but fair pin positions and very speedy greens.
As usual the course was in great condition though a couple of traps could use a little more sand.
The staff are great and I must recommend a sandwich at the half way house for 8 bucks it is more than a meal and is well prepared.
I was happy, first time under 80 this year added to the day.
I will be back again soon..
Great day at Bridgewater
Excellent greens and generous fairways. A little hard to find our way around. Lack of signage probably because it's mostly a members club.
Wet Conditions did not deter from the experience
A very fair but challenging course. Fairways had standing water but crews were out on numerous holes draining sand traps and tending to many areas on the course without hindering play. Wet conditions over last stretch could gave made this a negative experience but very impressed with their work. Bridgewater is the perfect length and difficulty for new golfers but would challenge any skill level. Greens varied and in great shape. Will definitely return to this course.
