Good day on the course
Great city course, pace was good and challenging. Greens were not very good but overall, experience was good!!
Really just terrible/horrible
From the nonsensical layout, to the truly terrible conditions, to the balls flying everywhere, to the missing signs on tees replaced with cardboard written with marker, to the walkers and cyclists, to having to walk in front of someone else's green to get to the tee box, to having 250 yard par 4s and 230 yard par 3s, this is the worst course I have played in 40 years of golf. Truly, just horrible. They couldn't pay me to play here again.
Enjoyable Layout
The course is a pleasure to play but the conditions are declining, probably do to the extreme heat this summer. Normally the greens are cut lower and run a lot faster than today. Over all I'd say it was an enjoyable round other than the fact that the pace of play was very slow.
Good course, rude staff
I dropped my phone on the last fairway. Ran a gps trace on it and took no more than 5mins to go back and find it. Staff acted like this was the worst possible thing I could have done to him. Lots of attitude, eye rolling, and a “Are you serious, come on man let’s go”. Overall I inconvenienced him for 10mins. I was going to tip for this inconvenience but decided it wasn’t warranted given his behaviour.
Nice course but needswork
A nice mature course.
Interesting holes.
Very pleasant staff.
Several sections of cart paths were mud holes. Fill them in!
Sand traps were washed out and hard packed. 90% unplayable.
A few extra signs to indicate where the next hole is would help first time players.
Overall, a little pricey for what you get but an enjoyabe course for close to home.
Good Shape
I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent shape that the Beddoe was in considering the drought we have been experiencing this month. Bunkers were well maintained and the fairways and greens were perfectly cut.
Wouldn’t walk again
Good course but wouldn’t recommend walking as the hills are outrageous. Pace of play was also very slow as It seems like they overbook or don’t spread tee times out enough. Overall good for the money.
Slow day
Be prepared to wait a lot between holes. They overbook or don't spread people out enough. Lose all your rythm. Was waiting for group to tee off infront every time and they had the same and so on. So not just one slow group.
The course itself is decent. Good value for the money and staff are super friendly. Come here for a social outing and not to work on your golf game though due to the pace
Pleasantly Surprised
The Beddoe was in excellent shape considering the dry summer we are having. The only exception was the bunkers that are not being cared for. Marshals were in evidence to monitor play as well.
