Golf now should include cart
Last year the Hot Deal rates were less and also included the carts.
The current rates will be fine if Cart is included.
Not great
Carts were 36$ each compared to the usual 20$... sprinklers on from the time we started until the 17th hole. Hit it into the fairway and then get soaked. Grass was short which is good but people using chainsaws and ride on mowers during the round.
Poor First Experience
Came in from out of town, and was my first time at this course, and asked a Marshall for assistance (getting a cart / where the 1st tee is). Instead of helping, was criticized for being 'out of town', not knowing where I'm going, and how I'm going to be holding everyone up.
I found the cart, loaded my bags, proceeded to the first tee, and still was early to my tee off time, but the experience was ruined. It was a rushed start and not the day I was expecting when I took my father out for a day of golf.
Friday
Enjoyed up and down the escarpment holes with wide tee blocks and the occasional tight mouthed green. One long par 4 followed up by the same yardage par 5 just a few holes later.
All and all good course and would recommend
Good value for your money (twilight value)
Course was a little dry, probably due to the rain that we haven’t been gettinf. Greens were actually half decent (minus the divots that players don’t like to fix). Pretty straight forward of a course minus a few holes that you may get confused on where it is.
Note* got rained out on and received full replay value as a rain check!
Will play again!
Chedoke Beddoe
Morning Tee Time, Staff was friendly and took very good precautions during COVID. Course definitely needs a week of rain, very dry. Course is good for beginners to average players, lacks length and challenge. Constant foursome groups so pace of play was pretty slow. In saying that whenever you get on a course it’s a good day. It was good to try a new course.
Hot day...
Booked on golf now...very hot day
During covid 19 only walking rate posted on golf now. Got to the course expecting to be able to book a cart... This course recommends calling the pro shop to reserve carts instead of a first come first serve policy...
Make sure you do if you can't or do not want to walk
It was ok
The course was in ok shape. The greens were great, the tee box and fairway had seen better days. With the hot weather, the grounds were hard and bumpy. For a public course, it was just fine. The only part that needs improving is the staff. We were greeted by an unfriendly person with a severe attitude. That wasn't necessary or appreciated.
Great municipal course.
Greens were in excellent shape despite the hot weather. Receptive to approach shots.
Enjoyed the course layout. 15 is a bit of a weird hole, but challenging.
Fun track. Would have no hesitations going back.
An old friend
Having played the Beddoe course many times over the past 15+ years, it is indeed an old and unassuming friend. It has many good qualities that combine to produce a satisfying experience almost every time I play it. No two holes are similar enough to lead one to think - I've played this hole already. It is of a length that short hitters can enjoy and has enough variety that good players will find interesting. It will reward good shotmaking but not unduly punish your ordinary hacker.. In short, a course for everyone.
Played at Chedoke Martin once before, before the covid pandemic. This time around used golf now app, booked. Tee time and had to cancel. They were quick to take my money but have waited one week now for my refund. After contacting them to tell them I have not been refunded they said I would have to wait another 3-4 days. I will never golf here again or suggest this place to anyone. I wouldn’t care if it was a few bucks but it’s Over $200.
