About
Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

don’t waste your time or money here.
no distance pegs forever waiting for a cart . no cart service on front or back 9 and three gruops waiting between holes. worst of the year so far
Getting better
Second time playing the course this year and conditions are improved. Blue tees were put out and the greens sped up. I love this Stanley Thompson layout, especially the finishing holes.
Good conditions.
Can always count on the Beddoe for a good challenge. No yardage markers is unfortunate. All other courses we play have them.
Don't bother
I thought I'd give this course another try, as I hadn't played it for awhile, but I won't go back. Some of the tee blocks are in terrible shape, the fairways are in poor shape, and the rough is so awful that unless you step on your ball you're not likely to find it.
Good Challenge, nasty rough.
Lots of holes present healthy challenges on this golf course.
You will have a hard time finding your ball even it’s one yard away from fairway, rough is very long and ball just disappears even you know ball is in this 10 yards circle. Rest is all good.
Good course for the price
Great value and close to home. The course was in very good shape aside from the sand traps.The staff were great, they had the half way house open and a cart girl for drinks. What else could you ask for? Maybe a mulligan...
Cut thr rough
Loved thr course, but i lost so many balls because tbry just rolled off the fairway. The people i played with said tbis was not normal, so i will be back in time.
darn good course and picturesque
my only negative on this course is it's proximity to the highway. a fair bit of noise, but now that we can play the radio on our cart and I talk to much anyway, it was not a major distraction.
Enjoyed the round
Haven’t played this course in 15 years it was a fun and enjoyable day. Covid keep us out of the club house and restaurant.
The only thing I wish was more yardage markers.

Love the ol’ Stanley Thompson layout. Super slow round and the bunkers need some attention. Love the layout.
Beddoe
The rough was very long, impossible to hit good recovery shots from... Also the greens look like they were aerated a couple weeks ago, still bumpy... This lead to a long, frustrating round of golf
Usually my favourite
I always enjoy playing beddoe but this time the course clearly lacked maintenance from its usual standards. I assume this is because of covid. No putting or chipping practice areas. Slow greens on hot days. Very thick rough and unnecessary lost balls. Pool noodles in every hole (provincial code maybe?) but to high and many fake lip outs. With that being said, I love playing here and will still play...I assume this is just the normal right now until everyone heals up—buyer beware if you’re looking for 2019 standards.
