Located only minutes away from downtown Hamilton and offering a spectacular view of the city, the Chedoke Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses. Nestled under the Niagara Escarpment, the Beddoe Course, a Stanley Thompson design, is a wonderfully scenic, challenging and demanding. It plays 6,084 yards from the championship tees.

Cut the grass
Let me just start off by saying how awesome this course is to play. I've played it many times and enjoyed almost all of my rounds. With that said, the course conditions on the date I played were super frustrating. I'm not by any means a pro golfer but when you hit your ball just off the fairway you shouldn't be searching forever to try to find it. The grass on the greens and fairway were very nice but just outside of that was super thick and long. Would be nice to see those areas cut a bit more. Besides that, was a great day of golf.
Great Value
Went out with a variety of skill levels including 2 newer golfers and 2 intermediate golfers. The cheap prices kept everyone happy but the course is certainly still good enough for any skill level.
Not what it used to be.
I remember this course being prime compared to the Martin. Almost need 4 wheel drive on the fairways and course is in rough shape.
Cold start warm ending
It was cool and cloudy start almost didn’t go out but after a few holes the weather warmed up. Course was in great shape for this time of the season. Hopefully the weather stays warm so we can play another round.
Always saw it from the highway and was curious
Beddoe - it's municipal golf. Hey, UR not paying $,$$$,$$$ for impeccable course grooming.
Mature parkland layout. Hilly! 3.5 hours. Fairways bumpy as O/P said.
Local course knowledge helps for dealing with where the ball rolls out to. I'll play some holes differently next time. Greens can be tricky.
Cart paths have seen better days but this doesn't affect where you play your ball.
Plenty of parking up the hill from basic needs pro shop. Beverage cart and halfway snack shop both operating.
Starter had an attitute which made the round so long.
The starter was not cooperative at all. We were a twosome on a power cart. There was a threesome walking and T ing off when we arrived. There was another single golfer also walking waiting to T off. The starter told us that the single person walking will T off with us. I requested the started that the single golfer walking should t off with the other three walking and we should be let go as twosome with power cart.
The start got unnecessarily annoyed and let the single golfer to t off alone after the three some.
Terrible attitude.
This particular starter should be questioned by the management.
Beautiful
Had a very pleasant day. We were paired up with two others who were similar golfers to ourselves. Course was challenging when going into the wind. Staff very friendly and helpful.
